The primalists aren’t wrong.

who is Eridicrumb? and what does he hunger for?

From the context it sounds like another one of the Incarnates.

Sounds like there are four Primal Incarnates, each one has an elemental power. This first one has the power of Air, there must be a Water one and Earth one and a Fire one. I bet the Eridicrum is the fire type pokemon.

Here’s the concept art for them, it doesn’t list names for who’s who though.

Apparently Wowpedia has the names of all of them: ‘Iridikron the Stonescaled’, so he’s the earthen one. Based on ‘-kron’ and Nozdormu mentioning them, I’d guess that they’re one of Nozdormu’s clutchmates.

oh that’s cool!

I suppose Alexstraza being overly forgiving seems very in character.

I’m glad the enemies are element based rather than just dragons causing problems.

He like Raszageth is coursing with Lightning though in his case it’s Yellow.

Earth Elemental Lightning is Yellow while Air Elemental Lightning is Purple.

Deathwing was weak against the Air Primal Incarnate(despite her being the youngest) and needed the aid of the Old Gods for her.

The other Primal Incarnates were Earth, Fire and Frost which the Aspects have improved variants of.

The Sands of Time are practically Air and Earth Combined with Entropy while Malygos’s Ice had powers beyond simply freezing their Target and Alexstrasza’s power can grow Trees on top of burning things. Add Ysera’s Dream Nature Magic that also grows Trees while knocking the target unconscious or giving them Nightmares and the Primal Incarnates are easier to take care of.

Now Ysera’s Dream Nature Magic has been replaced with Death Nature Magic. If the Aspects regain their Aspect Nature then Ysera would be a proper Aspect of Death(unlike Deathwing who was technically still Aspect of Earth despite his claims) while her daughter would claim the title of Aspect of Dreams.

The Aspects would be Life, Death, Dreams, Earth, Time and Magic vs the Primal Incarnates of Air, Fire, Frost and Earth.

Iridikron’s Earth Magic is basically in Solid and Gas Phase while Deathwing’s is Solid and Liquid Phase.

Iridikron’s hunger is an interesting descriptor as it suggests he is likely to cannibalize at least one of the other Primal Incarnates. I’m expecting the Frost Incarnate considering his/her unimaginative appearance(identical to other Frost Proto Dragons).

Seems we are getting the Frigid Earth of Iridikron as the Main Villain of Dragonflight to contrast the Molten Earth from Cataclysm’s Deathwing eh?

Dragon Cannibalism is also noted to make the Dragon more and more like that of the 5 Great Dragonflights(even without Yogg-Saron’s taint filling them with Rot and Undeath) so Iridikron will eventually resemble a proper Dragon and not a Proto Dragon.

A Galakrond-sized Stone Dragon is what we will get from Iridikron to say the least. What Dragons were meant to be without Old God or Titan Corruption furthermore. Galakrond was merely a big Necromancer while Iridikron will be a Frigid Sandstorm.

Iridikron having a “hunger” makes me think he followed Galakrond’s lead and started cannibalizing dragons to get stronger.

This would actually fit with DotA saying that the Aspects suppressed the truth about Galakrond’s cannibalism to prevent anyone from going down the same path. Iridikron doing that may have been what made them realize “oh crap more might want to do this” and decide to hide the truth.

That was blatantly obvious to any who read the Novel.

Like I said Galakrond was merely a big Necromancer while Iridikron will be(considering the Frost Primal Incarnate is completely indistinguishable from Frost Proto Dragons and is practically just begging to be eaten by Iridikron on that account) a Frigid Sandstorm.
