My predicted release date for prepatch is next week personally.
We don’t even have a release candidate build of the PTR yet. That generally happens before everything hits live servers.
29th seems way more likely.

Idk what the massive background download has been about but I’m leaning towards yes, it will be soon. Also like 1 month till SL release. Makes sense.
Pre patch will be October 6th, PvP will get their 2 week notice and they won’t drop pre-patch while the rep bonus is still active, that ends on October 1st.

If I remember correctly the background download for bfa prepatch was loaded onto the launcher over a week before it released. Maybe over two weeks before it released even. So I’m still guessing at least the 29th. Also it takes no time or effort to make a prepatch announcement post, and would go a long way to not make people angry for abruptly ending the seasons without warning.
