NOT a huge fan of grinding for pre-order rewarded items that I literally paid for. This crap actually makes me feel like a guinea pig. Like you guys are test bedding a new grind system. Just to see what you get me to do before I call it in. Seriously… why advertise the transmog and then tag the items need with a low drop rate grind and then… still expect people grind your other bean counters. Pretty f’d up tbqh. Low motivation… getting even lower.
Oh yeah. Read that there was a spot that was dropping the items at “unintended” high rate, so you fixed it. LOL
Well, thankfully you don’t have to grind for anything you preordered. The transmog is a reward from something you preordered. Read what you’re buying before you buy it and you’ll know this.
However you want to defend it. Its false advertisement. WASNT THAT BIG OF A DEAL. still isnt but Im going to go the extra mile and be a richard seeing as this does fall under the category of false advertisement.
Here, I’ll help you out. The following text is for the heroic version of the game:
Includes everything in the Base Edition, plus instant access to a Level 120 Character Boost and the Ensorcelled Everwyrm flying mount. The flying mount grants a quest for the Vestments of the Eternal Traveler transmog set.
You might wanna check out that last sentence.
It’s plain as day in your face, it isn’t false advertising. You’re just not a responsible consumer.
I didn’t grind it. I just killed a few mobs until I got my daily quota around 4-6 per day and then I just waited until the next day to do the same thing. Was simple just took several days of a killing a few mobs.
I don’t think it’s really meant as a grinding thing. The first handful drop really fast each day, the rest after have a super low rate. And since they drop off practically everything it’s probably intended to be a reward you build up just doing your daily chores for a week.
You could super grind it out in some hours, but it’s easier to let it go on its own.
The quest could’ve been done much better than a silly time gated, or very low drop rate grind like it was (either you got 5-6 per day and stopped there, or grinded mobs to get it).
I don’t think people need to be defending this, this was poorly implemented, they could’ve definitely done a better job with this.
This is true. One side that are smart consumers and are able to read and understand the product they are buying and the other side that are irresponsible consumers and buy stuff on impulse and read by looking at pictures.
Sure, in the same way that paying for Battle for Azeroth is paying for the Veteran of the Fourth War title, I guess.
You’re paying for content that has a reward. It’s not really unheard of. Similar thing with allied races being advertised with BFA (thought those are a bit different and more of a problem because they require you to grind reps that existed before BFA, where the advertisement said that purchasing is what starts you on the path)
