Power infusion and Augements are destroying the parse game

DPS love trying to parse. It’s really the game within the game that most DPS have been playing since classic… then PI came out which was a single target buff that heavily favoured certain dps over others… this started to schew the meters

Now with evoker augment buffing individual groups its completely thrown out any sense of true dps parses

Please make PI and all augments group and raid wide please

I don’t see the problem ,it even out the parse, that’s the whole of it. You wouldn’t have this roller coast roll it’s been with dps.

Maybe they should pay more attention to playing as part of the team, doing mechanics and staying out of bad stuff, and less time trying to “beat the meters.”

Just a thought.

If DPS werent being removed for “under performing” you’d have a point

I’m more concerned about Blizzard balancing Mythic raiding around doing psychotic augment strats.

its worse in raids, 4 random people closest to you and with people moving all the time its a mess who gets it and who doesnt. Could be the top dps or the worst or a mix.

I agree, raid parsing has been skewed ever since blatant borrowed power became a thing.
Then PI happened, now there is this new evoker spec.
Im so glad i dont raid.
Even in m+ this will mess up damage parsing, its stupid.

Hopefully details and wclogs will do something to separate the damage and give it to the evoker itself.

Augmentation has its buffs attributed to themselves in logs and PI is tracked already and if more than one priest buffs you, your log doesn’t count on the rankings.

Most dps who play for the parsing game do mechanics and stay out of bad stuff like it’s their second nature to be fair. Once you know the fight and your rotation/build well enough, it can get boring so people can have more fun optimizing and going for 100 parses.

I see parses becoming worthless as an absolute win.

Next we just need to convince wowhead to stop releasing misleading tier lists.

While Details doesn’t, Blizz made hooks for logs to take it into account and it does (not with PI because haste is complicated) but for Augmentation it does. Only issues right now is with pet classes, ignite type mechanics, and heals. But Blizzard is working on fixes for that.

Good. Down with parsing, logs, log checking, and elitism over your dps.

You know when you do extra damage from an evoker buff, it’s credited to the evoker’s parse and not yours, right?

I like parsing, I like logs, I like optimising DPS.

But this change is disruptive and pretty dope. Really cool of Blizz to shake things up like this.

PI was created in vanilla…

It was a personal CD for 4 expansions in a row prior to Shadowlands.

(and was more healer-centric in the expansions before that as it reduced mana costs for the duration as well, back in the era of healer mana being balanced around mp5 and mana cooldowns)

Had multiple restrictions over the years and only disc priest would get it which reduced a lot the use and spread of it. Also was originally not haste but spell/healing power only.

If PI was a flat buff you could easily attribute the damage to the priest giving it.
If PI was disc only you wouldn’t get the “problematic” parses with 9 PIs.
Reducing the spread of classes being able to receive it would also reduce its impacts on logs.

But none of those solutions was ever possible as a compromise.

Don’t worry, logs can track the dps of augment evokers and they remove the stupid PI stacking parses.

Down with bad players that refuse to improve and get carried.

you area aware that the buffs from aug are attributed towards the aug’s dps and not the player receiving the buff
