So this player, who’s another rogue and a night elf, was somehow always able to see me in stealth in wPvP and would just start attacking me before I could react at all.
Someone in my party said they might be using an addon called spy, but I also downloaded it to see what it does, and it doesn’t give me the ability to target people while they’re in stealth. It just tells you the coordinates of where they were last seen, which would make sense but I was always on the move and they 100% of the time, which was about 6-7 times, would catch me in stealth and just start meleeing me.
I also have the sap macro, but not even this macro could do what was being done to me every single time.
Is there some kind of hack that people use to do this? It was seriously infuriating.
I’ve seen spammable target macros with shadowstep and sap that work very well. However, I don’t know if it was some random occurrence where he kept getting lucky, he had great latency compared to you or you were on someone’s hit list with a macro ready with your name on it.
He had that tower buff that allows him to see stealth .

There is a tower buff that they can get in stormsong (spelling) valley. Had a hunter get it and him and his druid buddy camped me for 30 minutes. I eventually went and made dinner and they finally left.
I don’t know if its still the case but NE used to have a higher level of stealth detection than ever other race, for that reason I played a NE rogue in vanilla and always got the cheap shot off first against other rogue/druids in stealth.
I think you may have it mixed up a bit. Night Elves had stealth effectiveness. Humans got the stealth detection. Night Elves do still get a nice perk for Stealth. Elusiveness gives +5% movement speed while in Stealth. Which, is something!

yea I thought that a DK was cheating somehow in stormsong valley once but apparently they get a buff that allows them to see horde in stealth for a short time…it was highly annoying as this DK was botting 5 DK’s so one death grip and I was dead
