Potential TW Changes

If there was one aspect of TW that I wish the community could collectively channel their energy towards, it would be restoring the 500 badge reward on alt runs. Decreasing this to 200 still makes no sense to me.

In terms of time spent, this is light years beyond a potential 1 minute incremental increase in dungeon run time by changing the difficulty from toddler to easy.

I would prefer TW boss badges rewards being significantly increased but obviously am not against 500 on alts too (reducing to 200 on alts was a change they made for 0 people)

Indeed, I preferred the old system.

This version has it’s advantages, but I already had a way of collecting everything.

This is just less badges for the same time investment for me.

You know what would be really cool? They should scale players down to the timewalking dungeon levels. They could use old items to get a slight edge. Yes, I’m being serious and sarcastic simultaneously.

Another nothing burger post enlightening the laziness of the wow retail population. If you don’t want to grind just stop playing.

I wouldn’t say this is a significant increase, but an increase at the very least.

Continuing the discussion from Legacy of Arathor 11.1.7 PTR Development Notes:

I grind a lot of things in game without batting an eye, but arbitrarily more than doubling a grind without a good reason is not even allowed commenting on. Noted. Thank you.

Is there anything of actual use from the TW badges?

Transmog, mounts, and toys. You know, the real endgame. Also, the blue gear isn’t terrible if you’re leveling alts and haven’t maxed out your heirloom gear. But yeah, the badges are most useful for collectors. They can also be used to purchase expansion-specific rep tokens for many different factions, as well as heirloom upgrades, though I wouldn’t recommend using them for that personally.

Do these change week by week? I’d figure after about 4-5 rounds of a TW week, you’d have evrything

Yes every TW has different stuff. And the newer items added in the past year are hideously expensive.

Yes, the vendors change what cosmetic items they carry, according to what expansion is up for the rotation. Mounts are the most expensive at 5000 badges each, and most of the vendors carry more than one these days. There’s also been a lot of new stuff added fairly recently, with indicators that more will be arriving with the next patch, so even collectors who already have everything will be looking to stock up on badges.

Nah. Not even close.

At the time the 20th Anniversary event started, I had already collected everything to date, with a surplus of approx 100k TW badges collected over the years.

It’s all gone now, and I need another 50k or so to collect the rest of the new stuff which is way more expensive than the old stuff was.

Though it’s cool with me, I like grinding stuff out.
