In our raid yesterday, our main tank gets his buff (songflower) pushed off with 22-23 visable buffs showing. This seems to be a lot less than what we expected. Any information on how the buff cap is reached would be extremely helpful.
Warriors usually have issues with buff limit due to their talents and abilities also being counted as buffs. Maybe check to see if it could be flurry, death wish, enrage, etc. Also, gathering professions’ tracking like find minerals and herbs is also counted as a buff. Could be something that you are missing that is pushing off some of the buffs
no its wasnt that. he got buffs pushed off at 23 or so while the buff cap would be 32. he was also full prob wich means there was no flurry or anything
Yeah it definitely appears to be “hidden auras” counting to the buff limit and I could be corrected but I’m pretty sure in retail vanilla wow they did away with the hidden auras, either way I’m pretty sure it’s not working as intended.
it’s bugged, enchants / “added bonuses” on gear are counted towards the cap. if it’s not a raw stat that’s on the item by default, it’s counted. so cape of the black baron +20 ap counts as one, as do all enchants added to items ect
needs to be fixed or you’ll have people just not enchanting their gear lol
oh, i believe your TALENTS count toward this cap as well. so passive bonuses from talents will add up
This would make a lot of sense explaining the way some things happened in our raid last night as well. If this is NOT a bug, and blizzard intends to keep hidden auras and visible buffs on the same cap table, can we at least get some information on how the priority system works so that we can work around it?
Was there a homogenization that happened in retail wow at some point to merge visible buffs and hidden auras into the same cap pool? If this is the case, then maybe they have not changed it back to separate tables.
It would helped if the people who have started to data-mine this would start reporting their findings. Warriors have experienced misses in raids when they mathematically should not be able to miss. Per research done by elitist jerks near the end of vanilla and beginning of TBC, properly geared warriors should not experience a MISS in raids but our warriors are missing often. This would point to an issue with the current iteration of the game. We can only hope that blizz takes something like this seriously and helps us out with either a fix, or information to help us work around it.
Looks like all the people who didn’t enchant their gear is about to be rewarded! Hope you like your minor boots of speed more than your 2% hit from shoulders! You wanted Ony buff? Too bad! You get that 1 agi to cloak you have since there wasn’t any better options!
Blizzard needs to address this and fix. In pre-raid bis warriors have 24 “auras” from gear alone. Not to mention the “auras” from talents and you’re likely already above 32. I’ve been extremely frustrated with the amount of misses I get when I’m supposed to be hit capped, but I guess we all finally know why
I’m convinced WoW classic is just a shoddy private server lmao
In other news, you can push off resurrection sickness from others. Also seems like a bug: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/481237929?t=13h34m31s
The implications of this are larger as well. Consumables could be pushing off hit% auras from gear. If this is true, and it doesn’t change, that affects the herb/pot market, enchant market etc.
lost my 3% hit from surefooted but atleast i have my scorpok assay
Essentially, Druids will receive a hard ban from raids lol. Rather, HoTs will end up being banned.
we already banned druids from hots and made shamans and priest respec out of amor buff
