Looks fantastic, though!
Thanks
The slitherdrake comes with 2 armor options, gems and non-gemmed.
i feel like dracthyr heads are too small
I was going to post but it says Iām not allowed to have links in my post??
Oof, not a fan of most of thoseā¦ thanks for linking it, though.
Gonna get hate but these all just look awful.
They look like EverQuest 2 models put into WoW. Just something about them looks so off.
Maybe in game theyāll be different but in model viewer, they just look bad.
Their heads are too small or something I dunno. Not a fan.
The dracthyr look bad, not the dragons, to clarify. The dragon mounts look awesome.
Youāre not wrong, altough I think decent amount of it is the camera angle. The closer you get to staring at the drakthyr model straight-on, the worse they look (imo). I think most of them look pretty good in profile, and choosing bigger ears and horns help a lot as well.
edit: i think maybe part of it is the bodytype 3 and 4 as well, they get wider and it makes their heads look smaller by comparrison. I planned to use type 1 (the skinniest) and I donāt really notice the āhead is too smallā thing.
This is true, for some reason the neck doesnāt gain muscle when you use body style 3/4 so it makes the head look smaller.
Same man, same
Ugh the dragon form looks like a bad furry cosplay and the human form looks likeā¦well we all know what it looks like and who will primarily be playing them.
The actual dragons look good, though, but dracthyr look terrible, IMO.
Switched his armor color to make a point, the tier set colors MATCH the āstartingā gear color schemes
I think Iāve settled on a look. Transmog, thoughā¦ itās going to be an issue Iāll be struggling with for the rest of WoWās lifespan. The dragon form needs more slots enabled.
Those shoulders and belt actually work really well with the Drac which is kind of a shock.
Hereās the thing: the race is svelte. Sleek. Regal. This isnāt necessarily a bad thing - I just find it to be a little prissy and more than a little haughty to accentuate that look with another layer of regality - which is what all the baked-on armour is. I tend to make all my characters rugged and worn in some way. And thatās just not possible with the Dracthyr. Shoulders and a belt buckle cannot carry a theme, especially when you have such ornate pieces as the only possible compliments to them.
Like I said, Iāll be maining the class. Probably for the rest of WoWās lifespan. But Iām going to be straining against these limitations for the duration. And knowing myself, itās little stressors like these that have me hesitating to log in more than anything else.
This is mainly a lot of peopleās major complaint other than the lack of a bulker body options. Tmog is going to either look really good or really bad because of the shoulders/belt being shown only. Could you imagine what the dragonriderās set would look like with the chest piece enabled
I either do what fits the class or what fits the way I see how my toons look in my head. My hunters tend to wear āstalkerā gear, except for my panda who is theme for the high seas, my shaman is a āplagueā shaman using the mail Necrolord set, my HMT druid is in the Antorus heroic set which is IMO the most druid-esq set.
The thing is, the right transmog can create the illusion of bulk. It grants more control to the playerbase to present their character according to their own vision (obviously). Giving them what is tantament to two predetermined sets of the exact same theme with a few palette swaps doesnāt do anything for personal expression.
Transmog in the visage form is not a consolation.
