So I was in the middle of taking a break from WoW cause… can you blame me?
But was excited for todays patch, I think Legion was one of the best recent expansions and had a lot of great mogs I’ve been desperate to complete since launch.
Unfortunately it feels like Tomb needs another pass through. I ran through as much as I could on my 245 rogue, not the best gear but FAR from what should be required for farm content. some bosses just fell over as they should but others are still a struggle. I’ve submitted bug reports but if its anything like the report function I wouldn’t hold my breath so now I’m here to tell QA what to fix.
So much of the tuning didn’t touch mechanics for group content, essentially all the fights still expect you to do the mechanics even if you’re running solo which is difficult given your one body.
ie) Bone shields on Desolate Host upper adds, but also the boss despawning and never returning after killing the lower adds I tried waiting, jumping off the ledge, running out, hearthing out, and resetting the instance, nothing fixed this. meaning the short cut never opened and the stairs to maiden would had been locked up too but i have previously grinded out the skip (lucky me)
Fallen Avatar is an insanely close check because he will full heal and damage done first half of the fight because you’re one person and theirs 4 beams as well as destroy the entire platform very quickly given the 10 soaks and the one of me as well as his giant aoe nuke of the platforms. I did manage to solo it but was in the lava at the end and it was a him or me situation. Suggested fixes would be soaks scaling based off party size, a % max hp reduction, or a cut in the healing received when the maiden goes down. 100-50 up top than 50-0 down bottom is much easier than 100-0 bottom.
Kil’Jaeden is a mess. again the soaks need to scale to party size because you can soak one and still get 7 stacks which then soon becomes 14. I couldn’t kill this boss, the transitions were far too long and as a rogue you have a heal thats eating up pretty quickly every 30 seconds. I think the damage per stack of Armageddon Blast needs to be cut drastically or not apply at all, again this is farm content and was soloable back when corruptions were around.
Honestly I’m quite a bit disappointed with these oversights, hopefully the mage tower isn’t a disaster. I’m going to attempt the other raids and hopefully they’ve been properly fixed.

I agree. I finished a solo run of ToS, NH and Antorus on Mythic. Nighthold was easy enough. Struggled in ToS on Fallen Avatar due to platform destruction, but won. Kil’Jaeden was not possible due to overwhelming damage and intense knockbacks still happening. Moved on to Antorus and was unable to beat Eonar, too many adds and seems you still have to port to Paraxis, so skipped her. Defeated Aggramar but required too much DPS for Argus so left. Unable to find a place where it says exactly WHAT was changed to “make the fights soloable” for all of these bosses listed also.

Yes it’s still fairly ridiculous that they can’t even admit they messed up making giving it legacy content damage scaling.
Legion content is now 2 expansions old, would’ve been past the 11+ level difference to just make everything fall over.
Ion’s old comment (iirc) of “By the end of SL you should be able to solo these fights” was a copout.
At this point all bosses in Legion raids should basically be hitting you for damn near nothing (if at all) and we should be doing far more damage than we are.
But my favorite part they didn’t even say the bosses were getting changed to be soloable, they just vaguely said ‘less challenging’.
I’m sure some/all of the changes have been listed somewhere, but it sure seems the ball is still dropped.

its good they fixed some of the bosses, but others still do need fixes.
on the plus side, antorus the burning throne is soloable now so easy transmog and mounts farming. i used the skip and varimathras and the coven of shivarra are pushovers now (even tho you could skip them before, just wanted to try them out) and aggramar is a joke caz his push back dose almost nothing. argus became a bit spicy at the very end with the stacks but is still doable

I’m glad it was a Joke for you, cause it literally wiped the floor with my warrior, and im not being a smart butt about it. I was trying a full clear since i don’t have skip and just got obliterated q.q
So taking a shake and bake fresh 60 at 200 after mild fixing still off the table, huh? 220 if motivated maybe.
Makes saving the sub money till 9.2.5 easier I suppose.
Comp stomp fix up week back to TBCC till sub lapse looking like the plan.

as i said, with skip its doable. i can see other bosses so-so and 1 impossable. what boss got you stick?
the main stinker would be the lift bringer, being you cant be in 5 places at the same time but shes skippable even without a normal skip. everyone elce on the non skip parth i can see as skippable
Imonar the Soulhunter and Kin’gorath gave me a lot of issues, and i had to stop there, it seems like that was the crutch, if i pass that might be able to finish since you said the others were a joke. Maybe ill try again.
werid, i find them both easy.
For imonar the running back and forth can get annoying and for kin just dont get hit by the balls that go round him and quickly nuke the 3 adds on the side when you can
you may need up your ilev, change your rotation or something else. sorry i couldnt be much of a help or give any tips

Players want it made easy enough to farm, because that’s what old raids are good for. The fact that the “changes” they keep making don’t seem to be making it closer to farmable would suggest they actually have no intention of making it farmable.

Me, listening to people still complaining about Legion raids when Blizz obviously wants us to wait 6 years to solo old content
Just chill out my boys, wait till you ding 70 (60?) in 10.0

Are you sure about that “6 years” number? I think they want us to completely forget about old content and just do chores all the time.
My friend and I just tried to do Tomb and just for him alone, it was a struggle.
He should be able to solo Legion on lfr gear, but he has normal gear and it still wasn’t enough. My Paladin, who is a higher ilvl than him, should be able to solo legion mythic raids, but this is also not the case.
It should not be this hard, and I cannot understand wtf Blizz is doing here? This is a no-brainer, they’ve done it before, why is this the one Blizz can’t fix?
I’d say Tomb is the most demanded raid (next to Nighthold) for the best mog gear in game.
Such a disappointment, Blizz. But, you know, Blizz always does it half-baked.
