Post here if you took a break already from BFA (ONLY.)

Tell me what’s the reason you aren’t playing the game anymore?

To me, BFA isn’t cutting it sorry. The whole azerite system is boring and the grind is just insane.

Everytime I log in I feel like there is nothing much to do other than Weekly M+ and log out. anyone else? maybe because I’m an old school player but I have never ever felt this bored before in WoW with the previous expansions.

I was so happy to see Classic+ is around the corner, It actually made me happy at least knowing that BFA will last till the end of 2020.

Why did you take a break?

I came back from a break already.

I sometimes have genuine fun, but the grind is unrelenting and discouraging to me given the rewards. That’s why I left once and I’m sure it’s why I won’t stay subbed like I used to.

I’ve taken 2 breaks in BFA so far. This is NOT a good expansion. The only reason I’m back is to level allied races and maybe get a few more alts up.

Bad story telling was the first thing that made me stop playing. After Legion this is just too damn boring, I dont care about some burnt down tree, Bring back Illidan and old mate’ Sageras, maybe give Arthus a res, bloody anything compared to what WoW is about now.

Wow right now can’t handle a resurrected Arthas with a reforged Frostmourne.

Azeroth would blow up and implode and do weird things then blow up again.

I didn’t take a break perse, but I got to where I would log in on raid nights, do the raid and log out

Squeeze a plus and emissary in and be done. A lot of us did. Guild mostly died because of it.

Hmmm? I honestly haven’t been having fun. Between finding a means to help guildies and myself keep raiding as the population dwindles, and with the current game play… I mean I at least was able to help fix the raiding situation through the idea of merging guilds on what is pretty much a dead server, but I’m just spent personally.
In truth, I haven’t even hopped on to let my guildies know I’ve been on a break because I don’t wanna bother to even log in at this point. I haven’t felt a burnout like this since the start of WoD. Everything is too tedious more than it is fun. It feels like I’m doing simple yet boring chores when it comes to WQs.
The social aspect has gone out the window, which doesn’t help.

Overall, I’m just not happy playing like I used to be. My achievements alone give an idea of how much I invested into this game in terms of time and enjoyment, so it’s not like I’m saying any of this just to bash the game either. Not even sure if it’s simply a break for me at this point?

Back to making low level characters, I have more fun doing this stuff over again. Lol I played most of alliance side when the expansion came out and then went to an allied race. Ended up getting a blood elf leveled up instead to max, I did some work on her but got tired again after unlocking pathfinder part 1 and doing some mythics. Overall I probably spent 3 months total playing in BFA content maybe, yet I play wow almost everyday I have free time lol.

War mode made me quit. Specifically the gear handicap given to one faction. My job requires me to recertify every 3 years so ill be back after that process which requires hours a day studying instead of game time.

I never bought BFA. Haven’t seen any content worth $50 yet.

Game started to feel like I was logging on and just completing a checklist, essentially. Had fun with casual PvP and the occasional mythic, but it didn’t feel like it was worth paying a subscription for at that point. Felt more like a lobby game.

Still plan on getting back into the swing of things around 8.2.5 when the gobbo updates (supposedly) come about, but aside from that I’m taking it easy.

Still on “break.” Too many good games coming out so my time is pretty finite. Just doesn’t seem worth the investment with the game in it’s current state.

It was boring. I wasn’t interested in raiding and M+ rewards have too much rng associated with it. The last 2 months I was subbed I only leveled ARs.

I’ll be resubbing for 8.2 for a month or two, maybe longer depending on the state of the game. I’m not optimistic on that. This expansion has all the bad elements of Legion and very little of the good.

Never unsubbed but took multiple week breaks here and there, missed out on a good chunk of Uldir.

The content is so bland & unrewarding. I believe my mythic+ cache is determined to give me bracers and cloaks until the day I die.

I’ve resorted to farming old legendaries on this lock & my warrior to top meters on Time Walking content. Yes, I’m that bored.

I took 3 months off , luckily blizzard was kind enough to pause my account for that 3 months since I had about 8 months at the time . came back a month ago and am getting bored , just been getting rep on my alts so the can all use the Raft “toy” from Pandaria , 3 dailies giving 1000rep each so getting to revered isn’t hard its the 14 character to do it on that’s hard lol

This expansion’s awful. I’ve never had an expac make me not wanna play the way BFA does. Sub’s still active, but I barely play anymore. I log on for some RP and then log back off. Which is sad in and of itself when I used to do everything. Even my guys / girls needed a break from raiding, so we’re all on a month long hiatus.

Can’t get the numbers to raid in my guild, of which I’m part of the problem, I can’t be assed to care about playing any of the classes I have leveled. Everything just feels like a slog to do, leveling alts, world quests, dungeons. Story just turned me off to even solo PvE.

Started a mini break. I check in to see if Dark shore up each side, see if any 400 Caches up and…call it done. I had some leveling chars who I parked in capital cities. Top 2 ones I do do the daily cooking/fishing quests. few minutes…some xp. When I come back in a few weeks rested xp should be okay lol.

Dusted off the xbox and been hitting some old favs and trying some new ones. Went back to fallout 4. Some mods caught my eye to try out. And since I had some spare money and time giving ESO (xbox version) a small go. Figured I have spent 50 on way worse things that left me with nothing much more than a hang over the next day lol.

I won’t lie ESO’s more open nature…kind of looking nice up front.

Make my char going umm…where is the archer class? I went into this game cold. I knew it was not like say Skyrim and that’s about it.

Google it …ahh, everyone can use a bow. Want an “archer” just have them spam it. And run Bosmer for effect. I was halfway there…the first char was in fact bosmer (wood elf). Love my elves…

I’m about to take a break until Patch 8.2.

For the first time in what feels like a good while, I’m not impressed with World of Warcraft. Maybe it’s due to the fact this expansion is turning into a mirror image of America’s political volatility (or so the behavior of people in General chat keep telling me), maybe it’s due to the fact these forums are becoming a cesspool of toxicity/trolling (with moderators doing nothing about it), or maybe it’s due to the fact that Activision is sucking the life out of Blizzard little by little.

The systems themselves are bit ridiculous at this point.

I’d thought they’d learned to keep PVE-PVP separate, but nope. So to be specific… depending on spec, the best trinkets are via World Quests, PVP and Mythic +. Each and every one is layered with too much RNG. World Quest trinkets (even after this latest update) are still lagging 40 ilvls behind the rest of my gear; I retired from PVP and simply won’t do it anymore, period, so that avenue is out, and finally Mythic +. I am entirely a slave to RNG here, first I need an RNG key to T.D. or W.M., or I need to hope my friends have one, or then I need to at last resort, opt for the queue. Then I need to complete it and hope that I’m one of the lucky ones to get a piece, or time it so we all get one, then I have to hope that said trinket, which is about 7-10 items deep in the loot pool at least, pops up. Then I can add some more RNG to a bonus roll to repeat that whole process once more.

Then we come to Raid trinkets, which are situational at best and usually only one is good, or only good for a situational (AOE mayhaps).

Then we have the removal of Master Loot and the drop rates being under 20%, so far as I can see from my anecdotal information, but who really cares what the actual numbers are, when you see what’s not dropping for you, over and over and over. Druid has been after a Ward of Envelopment for so long other than LFR… and it highlights the issue even more. Certain gear is thrown at you so much and so often (non-weapons and trinkets) that you’re left scratching your head as to why this slot 13 and 14 are so hard to upgrade, until you realize, it’s a RNG assembly line and you have to run through the gauntlet any number of times to get yourself fully assembled and even then, maybe.

The azerite system, the class design, the class balance, the spec balance, the toolkits, hello Demo still needs to use a Felhunter for an interrupt? It’s absurd and lazy and doesn’t warrant continued feeding of the coffers for said absurdness and laziness.

This will be an expansion long issue unless, cough, they do something already, which they’re not likely to, so it’s very unlikely to change, making any reason to resub very low.

They need to learn to design things that allow each mode their respective rewards and advancements irrespective of the other, sure their can be some cross over, you can PVE in your PVP gear, but I should be able to pursue the better trinkets for PVE, in PVE activity, and be much more target-able than this system is currently.

I mean no offense, but if I can raid fairly well at Mythic level and be into several pieces of mythic gearing, then I shouldn’t also have to be near 2200 CR to get access to the better Mythic ilvl trinket(s). Sure, some people are and can be, but that’s not everyone and when designing systems, you should be making them either truly independent or truly integrated. This idea of integration is poor and problematic.

The idea that Raiding is or should be less rewarding than getting 4 other folks together and running +s all day in terms of gearing isn’t going to lead to anything good, raiders beware. I’m not saying the two can’t or shouldn’t co-exist, but again, the integration needs to be better, which goes back to the drop rate of raid items and/or their quality.

It’s pretty clear if you’ve geared up toons and/or paid attention to others gearing theirs, that there’s certain items in Mythic+ as well as raid. The problem is that ascertaining them are quite different even though their under the same umbrella system.

I received both my 400 Balefire and 370 Mage Fuse (last tier’s 355 too) ALL from the weekly cache, and the 355 was 16 weeks into the tier. The Balefire came about 3-6 weeks into this tier and the Mage Fuse, was a 0, not even a Plus. I can’t negotiate that hurdle blizzard and the frustration of layered RNG over and over and over, week after week is beyond taxing. It’s killed my initiative to play.
