Post flying feeling not what I expected

Week or so ago I saw someone post about how they felt angry when they finally got flying in BfA. I didn’t reply but I was just like ‘Jeez Louise, who wee’d in your pebbles, crankypants?’

Anyway, I got flying this morning and, yeah, I was momentarily really happy, but when I actually started flying down by the docks I just felt … bitter? Like, ‘how the hell did it take this long to get flying this expansion?!’ I was surprised to feel this way. Now I understand Mr. Crankypants, and I’m glad I didn’t reply to his post at the time. I’m sure I’ll get over it soon but for now flying is just a feeling of UUUGH when it should be WHEEE.

My problem is after getting Revered with both required factions for part 2, I’ve lost all motivation to keep grinding.

I think that’s the majority reaction. There’s no justification for it to be stalled this long.

Broken Shore was too long, if you ask me. This is ridiculous.

Off-topic Peppermint was the name of my Water Elemental when you could name them with a script bug on my Mage. Her name is Thinmint :blue_heart:

Yeah… this is a problem for me too. I did Pathfinder pt. 2 with my new hunter because it was just easier on a hunter, but now all my Mechagon progress, especially tward the Mecha-Done achievement, is on my hunter. So, I’m locked in with her even though I’d like to play this monk or may paladin now that I have flying.

Yeh totally lead on…since pathfinder is in every xpac for what 10 years?

Pathfinder limits pathways to flying. Gold allows many, but they don’t want people buying flying with tokens for some reason is my guess.

Still felt good to get it. Game is now double the fun for me.

Agreed and I would have just given you a like but I ran out for the next 3 hours.

People can’t fly, they complain
They get flying after nearly a year of grinding out things that have no relation whatsoever to flying, they complain.

I got flying tonight myself and you know what it felt like? It felt like I had been wrongfully accused of a crime and imprisoned by a sadistic and corrupt system and was finally released, not because it was proven innocent, but because they were running out of room to keep all the wrongfully imprisoned people imprisoned and they’re currently working on making another prison to keep all those innocent people imprisoned again. That is what “earning” flying has felt like since WoD to me.

True, I prefer pathfinder, but only part one and having it fully implemented in the game at the launch of every expac, and then having a hard date for when flying will be activated that is no more than 180 days into an expac. The idiocy of pathfinder’s current implementation defies my ability to describe.

Yup. I thought unlocking flying would be a happy experience, but it was more like the absence of frustration than actual happiness.
