Possible to level from 50-60 in older content?

I kinda wish theyd have just scaled the entire world the same.
make it so we can level up in CURRENT content from the starting zones…AND do the same anywhere else in the game.
ESO allows me to take a brand new character right into current content. I have player houses I can ‘hearth’ to and get to nearly any part of the game map on a level 3 character and go kill stuff.

Its very refreashing to me that other ppl don’t seem to enjoy the shadowlands leveling experience the same as me.

Its just really short and you are streamlined from point A to B, there is no adventure that isn’t planned for you.

I miss mop so much.

Just do threads and run dungeons. It’s good practice for M+ and learning when to use CDs.

That’s a nice viewpoint.

it was mostly done by pet battles

isn’t Threads of Fate kind of choose your own adventure?

More like do wq’s and dungeons to level up.

Sort of, but its the same choice every time, because there’s not enough content to really make your own way like in most previous expansions.

Dude.

Why would you take someone’s very clear post, cherrypick it, repost it out of context, then call them a troll? What you did is literally trollish behavior and grossly dishonest.

Everything the OP has stated has been consistent. Stop harassing strangers.

Seriously. Do better.

I enjoy playing with words, and it’s even better when the words some directly from the person.

I have a Nightborne mage who is very squishy. Mostly because I’m terrible at playing a Mage! I am in BFA with her and this evening she’ll hit lvl 50. I want the heritage armor that’s my only motivation. I have no plan to take her to Shadowlands probably ever. As soon as I get my armor I plan to return to Legion and older content. I enjoyed reading this thread so much cause it’s awesome to see other people who are staying in older content too. I thought I was strange for wanting to do that. lol

My alchemist did 52 or 53 to 60 via archaeology. Old world zones with rested xp worked nicely for me. Bastion did not do it for me so went chasing the vial of sands instead. Having that goal helped.

If you no life it sure. But yeah I would avoid threads of fate once getting to SL. It’s a lot slower, than doing all the stupid kill Tinker Bells in Ardenhell, gather this, and that crap.

If what you’re asking is whether or not you can go back and do old quests the answer is yes. You can pop into any of the old expansions and run the quest lines. When I got bored with BFA, I went back and did legion content specifically for the class titles and mounts. Had a blast doing that. The artifact weapons, however, were worthless seeing as how I was ten levels above. It felt weird holding up those three iconic weapons like they were the most important things ever and immediately sticking them in the bag because they were useless

If you have two accounts, you can do party sync.

that seems like an odd thing to say… because when i think back, it feels like “most expansions” had you on rails, and you had to follow a specific path.

In theory, no, not really.

In practice, yes, there are ways.

You may not necessarily like the options - it’s certainly not what you’re asking for - but if you’re determined to level to 60 outside of Shadowlands content, then yes, it is absolutely possible.

Would party sync with a lower level work?

Yes. I don’t have two accounts and have never tried it, but read through the thread as at least two posts have mentioned it.

Not sure, so don’t try it until it’s confirmed - or try it on a toon already in SL so it won’t matter, but I think it would result in higher exp if the lower character does the syncing not the higher character. Because the problem with questing in zones lower than you, is the diminishing exp the higher you get.

Hopefully someone here can confirm.

We know that’s you Mr Kotick.
