I am now realizing that the cloth donations wont go into effect in classic.
Will it be possible for an orc or troll to get exalted with the UC, if they boot it over there lvl 1?

Pretty sure I saw several cloth quartermasters in the capitals when I walked around during the stress test.

Cloth donations are in there. They were there in the beta.
so just farm a ton of cloth and your good!
The cloth QMs definitely existed in vanilla. You can do all the quests in the undead starter zones, and get rep in Alterac Valley (slow but i dont believe there’s any cap on it). Maybe some events at the Darkmoon Faire too?
It should be possible via cloth donations, etc, as long as Trolls are allowed to ride them. There actually did used to be race restrictions as to what race could ride another race’s mounts. I have no idea if Trolls could ride the UD horse mounts or not because I never played a Troll. Like Humans straight up could not ride on a Gnomish Mechanostrider for example. I remember that.

Any horde race can ride steeds. Just spam the cloth turn in until you get exalted. I do this on every character that isn’t undead. As an upper class horde, I only ride skelly steeds. Wolfys, raptors, and kodos, are for peasants.
Trolls could ride UD mounts, I think it was just the hardest one to get because forsaken started with lower rep with the rest of their faction (probably in the reverse too).

Tauren could only ride Kodo and Wolves and only Gnomes and Dwarves could ride Mechanostriders. Seems like all the rest are fair game as long as you’re exalted.

You don’t need cloth. Not one piece. There’s a ton of reputation to be had with all the Horde factions in Alterac Valley.
As someone who grinded the rep for all the faction mounts let me tell ya… Save all the runecloth turn ins until the AQ event, then you get a box that contains a green, possibly a blue, and a scroll every turn in. If you are an enchanter, you can make $$$ as well as get the rep. Win, win!
YouTube guides are saying it won’t be in until a future phase, and tho some factions it’s easy to get exalted, others, like gnome are very hard to do to near impossible
At some point in retail I noticed doing any quest would give a little rep to the other racial factions too. Is Classic like that? Or was that added later. Or is it only some “Horde” or “Alliance” marked quests that give rep to all?
Classic you only get rep for doing a certain factions quest, and the amount of rep is dependent on your level and the quests level.
So its a decision you need to make early (lvl1) if you want another factions mount.
