Possible suggestion for character select screen

Just thinking that it would be nice as someone who plays intermittently across a number of different alts that it would be nice to have some kind of icon on the character select screen like when we have mail to notify us when we have Great Vault items that are waiting to be picked up.

Reasoning behind that is:

  • Can already see a number of different stats about character now including last spec logged out as, professions, and even current gold.
  • There is already a map icon in the main city for when there are items waiting in GV
  • Plenty of space to the left side of the bar below the unread mail icon.

Just think it would be helpful to have some kind of visual indication instead of having to sift through 4 or 5 characters to see which ones did enough to unlock vault rolls last week.

Sounds like a pretty reasonable ask to me. It’s easy enough to log in and check your gold or mail on a character. Not sure why they couldn’t slap a vault icon in there if they have one waiting.

There’s at least one addon for this, Myvaultlist, which tracks the vault across all of your characters.

That’s good to know but with how much the select screen has changed just within past few months, I kinda feel like it’s something that we shouldn’t need to have an addon for
