Twinks have more of a legitimate claim to do what they do than a leveling player does to actually gaining any XP. Twinks have been around for far longer than BG’s have had XP gains.
If levelers aren’t willing to compromise then I would propose to take XP earns away from BG’s again, that way you PVP for fun, not to level, like was originally designed.
And no, I won’t ever feel bad for proposing a change that should help both sides of an issue.
