Possible oversight with PvP gearing in War Within

It has been announced that War Within will remove the PvP vault row and replace it with outdoor content. On top of this they have said the gearing speed will be increased to compensate. The assumption is they will just increase the cap of conquest that is currently experienced on live. So where is the oversight coming from?

Well, we still have access to the vault do we not? We could essentially run level 20 keys and fill out the M+ row and get gear on par with upgraded PvP gear. Currently conquest gear upgrades to 489 on live, and M+ vault gear can be upgraded also to 489. So essentially someone running keys and PvP will gear TWICE as fast as someone not running keys.

The vault change as it stands, will force PvP players to run 8 keys a week. Is this an oversight or is this how they expect PvP players to get their 4 set from now on? Do you see yourself running keys to have relevant gear to keep up? Or will that push you away from PvPing in War Within.

We don’t know how powerful PVE gear will be in PVP.

Force? 8 20s a week? For a chance at gear that’s temporarily good? Nah, man. Even I won’t do that. :dracthyr_crylaugh: Although if you do wanna stress about it now there is some PVP bis from dawn, it’ll just be rng from the vault.

For the first 3-4 weeks every piece in that row will 100% be an upgrade for your character. RNG is only a factor once you have conquest gear in most slots.
