Anyone else “WoW xpac Beta” appear again in the bnet launcher. A few Days ago the bnet launcher had an update "unknown game (WoW_beta). Now today there is a new tab in the Bnet Launcher of a wow beta but it says “You cannot play world of warcraft (beta) yet” when you click launch.
is/was Shadowlands a Short filler xpac? is 9.2 the final patch?!?!

Wouldn’t that be TBC reboot?

nope, TBC beta has its own tab and this is not it, this seems to be something new, is it possible 9.1 wont be on the ptr but its own beta realms since it contains major spoilers for the entire franchise? (sylvanas + anduin deaths + dreadlords + the big secret about how korthia looks)

We are well longer than a year before the next beta starts. Lol.
Chances are it’s for TBC classic, or 9.1 PTR.

yeah its neither, tbc classic is gonig to be on the classic wow ptr (go check) and 9.1 is the live ptr
this is a whoel separate thing and it says retail not classic

What part of we are well past a year before the next beta don’t you get?
9.1 isn’t even on the PTR, and we still have 1-2 more raid tiers of Shadowlands after that.
Use some common sense.

But, but how can I farm lots of attention and make a thread with all sorts of replies if I don’t speculate on something that has no basis for it what so ever?

lol you guys were the ones complaining that SL was not in Beta long enough now you complain if the next xpac goes into beta now to give it extra time. jeezez there no pleasing these ppl
if next xpac goes into beta now = less likely for a huge huge content drought
They’re not going to beta the next xpac while the current one has unrevealed content.
That’d be like telling us Sylvanas burns Teldrassil in patch 7.1 where the factions were still working together, then expecting Alliance to be perfectly happy still working together in 7.2 and 7.3.

if next xpac is dragon isle/ tinkerers/ ect something unrelated to the current story then it really doesn’t matter if we didnt get 9.1/9.2 yet because to even know how it mixes together you have to see 9.3 means thers no problem plus they can easily make u agree to DCMA disclosure when u get access so

TBC was not related to wotlk
cata was not related to MoP
MoP was not related to WoD
WoD was not related to Legion except for minor linking point in a hidden cinimatic or book
It’s 9.1 beta. It’s not for a new expansion. Think about it, come on man.

why is 9.1 its own beta realm instead of ptr… this is a separate tab completely. Think about it, come on man.
See now you’re just throwing out random theories and wishes. This isn’t how the beta testing has ever worked, take it from someone who has been playing the game since launch. Hell, any player will tell you that’s not how Blizzard does things. Why would they disable change now?
You’re simply trying to speculate on things to look for attention and share your fan theories. So call this thread what it is. “What I want to see in the next X-pac guys”. There is no secret beta coming out that you magically discovered before all the big gaming sites did.
And to answer your question, it’s getting its own Beta more than likely due to the major story line changes that are coming with it. Massive spoilers, new lands, etc.
Major content patches are on the beta before the PTR
