Dude threatened to “track me” when I responded to him after we tried to kick him for being an idiot in a raid. Anyone know if this even a credible threat? Have screenshots of the message.
…no don’t worry about it. Hacking on this game outside of botting is extremely rare. Also call outs aren’t allowed so you should probably remove his name from your post.
As the above post states. If you believe to be threatened, please follow the steps to open a ticket and request an online chat with a GM.
And please do. I know people like to hur dur hur “u wouldn’t survive 10 minutes in an XBox live lobby” but the more we collectively do to discourage this type of idiotic behavior the better.

If he knows you or you use that username everywhere or you add people with your Btag…then it is possible if the guy is a creep.
As others said, report him.
I would also add don’t respond to him at all, not once.
Once Blizzard sees that you’re ‘engaging’ with them, it becomes even more difficult to get them to respond with a valid resolution.
A sufficiently motivated single person with enough technical knowledge combined with Zuckerberg-unsafe social media practices on your part might be able to learn enough about you from the Internet to doxx you, but those people aren’t the kind to leverage their skills because they got mad in a dungeon, considering that any serious attempt to do so over the internet would be a multi-felony offense.
The people like you encountered are good for a laugh, and not much else, I’m afraid.
