Don’t we have that already? On both sides?
IMO we could still use the Dragonmaw skintone for Azeroth orcs. Past Haranir, Ogres and Arakkoa, I’d just like Blizzard to do a sweep of the current options and add more customizations such as the Dragonmaw, Forest Trolls, Taunka, Frost Dwarves, Arathi Half Elves and Krokul. Likely quite a few I missed, too! Suppose more in-tact undead like Nathanos and Callia would be popular, the slim Kul Tiran body for human men would be nice as well.
To a degree. But I’m more talking picking a high elf skin and the game recognizing the player as a HE like the game sometimes does with the man’ari skin
You can dress your void/blood elf as a high elf, but the still treats you as a void or blood elf
Blood elves left the humans in the dust because they realised that was not a real alliance.
It is the same race in anything but the name. Blizz is not gonna add a third race that will look just the same AGAIN.
We hope not. But it’s blizzard. Can’t say they won’t do anything if they deemed it cool enough
Edit: There’s been plenty of times when people exclaimed that Blizzard won’t do X for these reasons!. Only for blizzard to exactly what people said they wouldn’t do simply because someone thought it was cool enough to do
Since they were present in BfA (and since the monkey king was relevant in Legion) I really thought we were getting them. The biggest argument against them was the lack of female models, same with Sethrak. But I think that binary gender concept has become a bit less popular (or its socially advantageous to reject that concept) since BfA.
I mean Sethrak wouldn’t even have a noticeable difference between the male and females anyway. Outsider of the females being slightly thinner or something along those lines.
It’s literally just the clothing shapes. That’s all they need. Just give Sethrak females a visible midriff.
But why though? They’re snake people. That one is showing its abs, must be female. Why do that when they can just make the female model slightly thinner than the male one?
Sethrak used the Worgen rig
You’re absolutely right from a social justice perspective. Clearly, choice of clothing isn’t gender binary and especially so with non humans. That’s a great reason that they don’t even have to make those customizations gendered. Just introduce as many customizations as possible and let people decide if their bloodelf male with have the belly shirt plate mail or the full chest armor. Body type 1 and body type 2 already makes steps in that direction. There’s no reason a skinny effeminate Sethrak has to identify as a girl. The customization is just the one we would immediately identify as more feminine.
Glad we’re on the same page at least. Because the whole The female must show skin, so we can tell it’s female made me twitch. Not gonna lie
Yeah. I think the shape shifting lizard person from She-ra is a great example of how a gender challenging character can be really interesting.
Blaugh? Oh wow you’re right. I forgot the Sethrak had legs. The curse of BfA–best zones in the expansion that makes you least want to be in them.
It’s another the faction conflict complaint where the reality is that blizzard made the conscious decision to avoid faction conflict where it would have totally made sense.
Eh? I loved the faction conflict, that’s not why I didn’t like parts of BfA dude.
No, I wasn’t referring to you. Just saying that Blizzard in the case of Voldun, didn’t do a faction conflict story, where Pandaria would totally have made Sethrak alliance and Vulpera horde.
We actually have a female Sethrak with Sethraliss.
I’ve been wanting Quilboars in the Alliance and Gnolls in the Horde since 2008 (and ever since Cataclysm, I’ve also wanted them to have the Death Knight class so that they start in the WotLK starting zone too)
Yeah, she’s the inspiration for “same as the males but with a bare midriff” comment I made earlier.
