I am 450 fishing, using Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat and Mastercraft Kalu’ak Fishing Pole, majority of the time using Aquadynamic Fish Attractor.
I have done over 10,000 casts (in schools of fish pools) but no luck so far.
Am I just unlucky or are the drop rates bugged? Please advise.
It took me 40k fish in pools in the original game.
Just got mine this morning. There is a good pond in howling fjord with constant school spawns try there!
Just a heads up, you don’t need any fishing skill to avoid junk if you are fishing in pools. You can save your lures.

Not bugged, you’re just unlucky. Don’t forget that each roll on the table is not influenced by the previous roll, so it can take a long time to get the drop.
Thus the 40k fish. Out of pools. I had so many fish I was spelling out messages with feasts.
