I have been having what seem like connection issues.
ms has been going from 60 to 200+ to sometimes 500+ both home and world.
Logging in and out will fix this and ms will hover at its normal 40-50ish for a time and steadily rise as I play.
several times my character will disappear but, I will still be able to play and use abilities. logging out and in will fix.
also I have been getting input lag where, I will hit an ability or talk to a NPC but there is a couple second pause before anything registers.
I noticed I am playing on a CST server while living in EST. Will this cause this type of latency issues?
I have been playing on 2 different PCs on 2 different networks and I wasn’t sure if the problems I have been having was isolated to me or maybe even busy servers?
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you for your time!
To clarify - you see this latency on two different machines/networks? The same ISP?
I would be inclined to test your UI. Could be an addon you use on both machines.
As I mentioned this is a test. If it doesn’t help simply remove the OLD from your original folders then delete the new folders the game installed. This will return your original settings
So I reset the interface and ran the MTR app (I couldn’t make sense of the data). While I was playing just now, I could no longer use abilities, no cast bars would appear, I was still in combat but nothing was happening, I could run around but that is it, I closed WoW and logged back in to 375ms Home and 3351ms World.
Can you paste the WinMTR results. If you have issue pasting on the forum here go ahead and paste to Pastebin.com
Provide the link code portion of the URL - example below.
(The green bold portion at the end of this example link: https://pastebin.com/Qk28Ed1P <=== this code)
Alternately you can place the link in a Preformatted Text box. Paste the link in the chatbox - then highlight it. Click the preformatted text button along the top of the chatbox - looks like this</>
Will look like this example afterwards:

Sorry I forgot to add this to my original post - imagine the WinMTR did look like a bunch of nonsense
Describe the connection Sandman - wireless or ethernet cable? Modem or Router? Are there any switches in-line. Any splitters - basically follow from computer until it leaves the house.
We are seeing 13% packet loss on the second hop - which I suspect is Spectrums hop switch somewhere in town or neighborhood. It could be the router/modem is sending that switch bad things. At least we now have the issue.
So nothing fancy - no switches involved. Try a VPN - Nord is one folk have good luck with. This may be something that Spectrum needs to dispatch a Tech to repair.
I’ll also get my ISP out here, the equipment is fairly old and could use switching out. Plus, I’ve had some hurricanes run through my area, possibly some things are still requiring repair.
