Possible catch-up spark bug since 10.2.6

Created a new alt after 10.2.6 and so far I have killed 3 LFR bosses and played 20 games of 2s, 18 games of 3s and 4 lobbies of Shuffl. I have gotten a grand total of zero sparks. Same thing is happening to my friend.

10.2.6 broke the catch-up thing?

I have noticed the same thing. Submitted a bug report. If anyone else has same problem, please submit a bug report so they can see the issue.

I’m having the same issue, contacted support and all they said was do other content for shards.

I’m having the same issue on my recently boosted alt. Not being able to craft a second embellishment and other crafted gear pieces with sparks gates gear progression till they fix the problem and puts your toon at a noticeable disadvantage in pvp when q’d vs ppl with a full gearset.

My friend and I noticed the same issue. Dream splinter drop rate from pvp was either stealth nerfed or the catch mechanism is broken. Even the guaranteed source of a splinter, ‘Malicia’s Hoard’ is did not work to get a splinter.

It looks like this issue was reported on EU forums as well already:

i have done close to 100 2v2s and have not received any dream splinters, not sure whats going on. i have done the weekly quest and with no luck at getting any from that either. this is a fresh 70, one of 13 alts that i do have. my main has all splinters but cant seem to get any on this alt.

Same problem here. Newly lv70 boosted character (as of this patch). Have only received 4 half-sparks.

1- weekly PVP quest
2- quest to trade 1 half for 2 halves in emerald dream
3 & 4- LFR bosses

Zero being from PVP (135 arenas with decent w/l), 2 shuffles and some skirms - the majority of being before attempting LFR.

Ive now just run the emerald dream rep weekly - normally also drops a half spark as catchup, but that didnt give one either. The game thinks im “caught up” at 2 whole sparks?

Same deal. Just boosted an alt. 28 games played, 20 wins, 0 sparks. I did manage to get one from lfr. An alt I made about 2 months ago had more sparks then I knew what todo with them after the same amount of time.

Toss me in on the list. I boosted a shaman on Tuesday, zero sparks from anything pvp related. The only splinters it got were from the Emerald Dream “give a half spark and receive 2 halves” intro quest and LFR.

In contrast, this warrior leveled through timewalking week before last and had 16+ splintered from arena before its first reset.
