Possible Ascendance Fix

Let’s take a page from Demon Hunters here.

Ascendance - 3 min CD, lasts 20+ Seconds
Deeply Rooted Elements - Gain Ascendance for 6 seconds when you activate X Ability. That ability can be whatever makes sense for each spec.

You get your activated form and a controlled proc. BOTH. Not either.

It will probably make the “controlled proc” better in all forms of content. The gambling/uncontrollable aspect is the balance.

I’m suggesting both at the same time. Not a choice node. Not entirely understanding what you are referencing here? What I am offering is remove the 7-8% thing entirely in place for this version.

I mean. Both is gonna be pretty op. I wouldnt say no to giving it a super duper buff making it a ton stronger.

Sure, but would you not agree that this kind of power scale is deserving of Ascendance? My understanding is that shaman in general is underperforming an average across the board. Think something OP and already tested and well loved from a different spec could be slotted here very well.

I honestly wouldn’t miss Ascendance if it was deleted. It never felt right to be using Dark Shamanism as a basic class cooldown.

Yes. Shaman could use some tinkering. But I think its also more from a core mechanic stand point.

Example. Ele desperately needs help reliably spreading flame shock. that would increase its power by a ton.

Yeah, would I be fair to assume that’s because of its current model? If it was updated to something more fitting you would enjoy it more?

All specs would need a lot more then this. But for this ability I think it would help in a lot of ways and please the community. I offer this to the Blizzard gods as a fix for Ascendance not as a fix for the class as a whole. :slight_smile: One step at a time.

Well Paladins essentially have both for Avenging Wrath, so I don’t think it be that broken for Shamans to get the same treatment.

I mean. Sure. But seems like it would all but lock people up in the fire build, and have most of ele’s power in ascendance. Which would also most likely ensure flame shock doesnt get a way to be easily spread. As a check/balance on the constant fireballs.

Personally I think before/when talents get adjusted we do need to see how our class/spec trees rework looks like.

Because just like you mentioned currently changing things as is may have other underlying effects.

I really, really like this. I hope the devs are on the same page as you on this one.

Would of been cool if our ascendence was treated same way. It goes into main tree and we get various buff in our spec tree.

Like as resto during ascendence. You gain a healing rain as an aura.Or Cast earthliving effect on all player in 40yard
