Possibility of a void based class?

It would be thematic, and there’s currently only one class that dips into void magic.

I’d say shadow priests more than dip into it. But yeah, another could be cool. Melee shadow would be neat. Although sub rogues do dabble in shadow magic as well.

You’re right. I could have sworn shadow and void were their own things, but it looks like they’re the same.

I’d love to see a melee void too. I’m not sure how it would work, but if you could nullify damage by consuming it with the void, I’d be pretty stoked.

Rogue would be who I give the melee void spec. I don’t think they thought of this, they wanted them to be “Fatebound” and do cosmic damage like they’re some herald of the titans or some random thing, it’s off the wall really. It’s cute, but it’s not interesting if that makes sense, Fatebound I mean.

Having actual void abilities and flavor is way more interesting at this point. Imagine if they had a move that sucked enemies into them like practically all the void enemies do.

Also Rogues are the most likely candidate to give in to the Void.

I’m not sure if they will add another class in The World Soul Saga. I could see more allied races or more class/race combos for existing races but another class, idk.

A Void using class that didn’t have Shadowform would do well, and be played heavily; no matter whether it is ranged, melee, or even healing. It’s really as simple as that, though there is little doubt it would come at the cost of Shadow Priests (and likely Aff. Locks) losing their more iconic moves like Shadow Crash, Void Tendrils, Demoniac, etc.

Like i said above - sub rogues. They’re all about shadow damage. They even turn their bleeds and poisons into shadow. They have a finisher that attacks with spooky shadow clones. I’m leveling a void elf sub rogue right now. It’s cool as heck.

I would not mind if we got a void class that has two skill trees one ranged and one melee and they wear separate armor. One skill tree is a void caster class that wears cloth and the other skill tree is a void melee class that wears plate.

I’d like to think they could retain their class flavors, but I remember what happened to meta locks when DH’s were introduced.

…Shh. Be calm my anxious heart.

A melee plate option would be cool.

Honestly I’d love to see Paladins just have a shadow priest type option or class skin for it.

Death Knights also kinda fall into this area where they could fairly easily get a talent tree for shadow. But I don’t know that I’d want a void melee to be specifically centered around Death.

A Void based class would be swell though!

Every class that can be made as a Void Elf does.

My Voidy hunter has:

Preternatural Calm
Ethereal Connection
Entropic Embrace
Chill of Night
Spacial Rift

He looks like a Void being, has a stunning void-themed pet and looks great riding his Uncorrupted Voidwing.

I wouldn’t mind it if my Dark Ranger Hero talent tree could be turned into Void Ranger, with all his attack’s Void related.

Void Arrow (was Black Arrow) Deals Void damage, rotting their spirit and turning them to Void beast for x amount of time where they infect their allies. Something like that. :sunglasses:

We have 3 classes that use shadow magic. Priest, warlock, and rogue.

I think I’d prefer more specs. A Void-y spec for Rogues, and Paladins, and maybe Locks would be sickkkkk

Subtlety and Affliction already exist.

I don’t remember asking for your opinion especially one that completely misses the point of the discussion lol

Anyways, would love a super cosmic voidy spec for Paladin, Rogue, and Lock!

Oh, no, I’m just stating the fact that subtlety and affliction are already shadow magic specs for rogue and warlock. That’s not an opinion. You’re literally asking for things that already exist in the current game.

I mean, we already have a shadow priest void elf. how much further do we really need to go?
