Can we get our Pandaria portals to the Shrines instead of the Jade Forest?
This was done to slow us down on our dailies and even the timing of the change reinforces this.
Yeah… Doesn’t make any sense why we teleport to some nothing village instead of the capital
It is a pretty stupid decission actually, since the Shrine is in the centre of all of Pandaria to where we want to go, whether it is to farm old raids, do old dailies or what not.
I agree completely, it is like they are trying to take “fun” out of the game.
Oh, I think they have already done that.
I don’t get it.
The nothing villages are the place where questing starts for the expansion, which is fine - but those portals used to be in the middle of capital cities for the sole purpose of teleporting new MoP people back into the new continent.
The Shrine portals were only added in Legion (unless you were a mage) - but Legion was also the expansion where Blizzard seemed to say “hey, we actually don’t mind if you have a ton of portals, enjoy the convenience!” We had the portals at the Shrine still left intact, all the portals in Org/SW, all the portals in Dalaran, and all those extra, super-handy portals down in the area in the middle of Dalaran specifically created to hold portals which now is a big round room of nothing.
All to “make the world feel larger”. Yet each time the Darkmoon Faire is in town, my non-mage characters portal to Thunder Bluff from Dazar’alor, then have to pick an available hearth (new-Dal or the garrison, whatever is up, we don’t wanna waste the main hearth) then portal to Org, then portal back to Dazar’alor, oh damn I need to go add this thing to my neck, okay so then portal to Silithus, portal to Heart Chamber, portal back out of Heart Chamber, portal back to Dazar’alor…
If briefly loading Silithus from my SSD so I can bunny-hop the 20 yards to the next portal clicky “makes the world feel bigger”, or if me zoning in to Irrelevant Pandaria Village, bunny-hopping to the flightmaster nearby and going AFK for 3 minutes “makes the world feel bigger” then maybe we need to have a serious conversation about why simple quality of life options keep getting removed.
They deliberately took the shrine portals away when they gave us portal rooms, so I’m guessing no.
Actually it does. The questlines in Jade Forest open us up a portal to our main city. That’s part of the questline. So the Jade Forest portal makes sense.
But they should have left it alone where it was in our capital cities and added the Shrine to the portal room.
They wanted to clean up portals, though, and couldn’t remove the questline portal. So we got stuck with this bs.
The portal room update is stupid as we lost more portals than them cleaning everything up.
