Portal to Valdrakken In Stormwind and Orgrimmar Not Working Even After Completing To Valdrakken Quest

I’ve read the forums on this topic but the fix suggested to abandon any Legion quests did not work.

So I completed all the Azure Span quests leading to the “To Valdrakken” quest. I went back to Valdrakken to meet Alexstrasza. She didn’t allow me to complete the quest but instead gave me another quest (can’t remember the name). I then checked the map and saw the question mark to complete the “To Valdrakken” quest in Tyrhold. I flew out there and found Alexstrasza and she allowed me to complete the quest. Upon clicking the question mark to complete the quest, I heard the “abandon quest” sound and that was it.

I then quickly checked whether I could go through the portal at Stormwind but I couldn’t click it (it was there but the interaction gear icon does not appear). I logged onto some toons in Orgimmar and again I couldn’t click on the portal. I’ve abondoned any old quests not from the Dragon Isles on all my toons as well. Now, the “To Valdrakken” quest is no longer in my quest log and Kalecgos at the Azure Archives does not give any other quests.

Another important point, I completed the quests on a character that couldn’t get onto the boat at Stormwind to the Dragon Isles even though I previously could (the boat would sometimes appear to sail towards the pier and then quickly disappear will all NPCs on the boat then be seen falling into the sea). I only managed to get back to Valdrakken with the help of a mage portal.

Not sure what else I can do here and any ideas are welcomed.

This is usually where things go awry, because she then goes out to Tyrhold and you have to do her questline or drop it in order to turn in other quests.

So let’s start here and see if the game has you finishing “To Valdrakken.” Run this script:

/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(66244))

If it isn’t complete, log out while in Valdrakken, then log back in again, see if the quest pops up. Also try finishing Alex’s questline or abandon it if it’s still the first quest she gave you and see what happens.

Also, when you exit the game, delete your cache folder, just for good measure.
