Portal to nearby gather node cheats in dragonflight?

I’m pretty sure people are cheating on rogues to gather herbs and mines. I’ve seen three separate rogues on three separate nodes now and see the gather animation then the guy disappears without mounting. No movement suggesting he simply left the range in which I could see him in stealth. Completely idle and poofs from existence. I assume theyre getting ported to the next closest node. But its not that titan portal you get in game the dude is just gone after looting.

Rogues dont show up in front of a node to gather, gather while stealthed, not mount to fly to the next node thats not normal it implies cheater behavior. Normal would be he flew in on his mount the fastest movement in game to gather and fly off to the next node. My most recent sighting of this we were in a very remote area of azure span where I know for a fact no quests are anywhere near to our location. The zone is very large so quests are in very specific areas all of which we were no where near.

So I dont think this was a dude questing and happened to detour to this flower nearby. Very suspicious. Does anyone else have a similar experience? The big problem with rogues doing this is I cannot report them quick enough before they disappear because I need to be right on top of them to catch it.

Yes, we rogues have pocket portals to all nodes within the dragon isles as payment for not having anything to do with Pickpocket for the third expansion.

was the said nodes titan? if so they can port to nearby nodes on overload skill

It could just be a latency issue, I’ve seen people seemingly teleport around in dungeons. Movement based stuff is VERY easy for Blizz to catch so if it IS a cheat of some kind they WILL get banned, though it might take a little while since they usually do bans in waves.

Could be the titan overload portal as listed above.
Could be underlight angler teleport.
Could be the time anchor whatever that dragonriding allows.
Could be shadowstep (if that’s still a thing? I don’t play rogue)

If someone were going to hack this then traditionally they would enable air swimming and come up underground where other players actually cannot see them.

well the time anchor only works if you dont dismount

This is why Blizzard will never take any of you seriously; you are seeing something you don’t understand and automatically assume YOU are being wronged in some manner.

During launch, this community accused Blizzard of setting up streamers with their own servers - because some bloated neckbeard couldn’t log into WoW.

Stop.

wdym I dont understand? Did you even read? I list all of the things the rogue doesnt do that would suggest this isnt a port from cheats of some kind. There is no titan portal he isnt mounted on his dragon to bronze drake port he doesnt move at all and dissapears while idle which is not how you see a rogue vanish from your sight when they are stealthed… AT ALL. You see the direction the rogue is last seen before they disappear not standing still and idle and disappear from sight when you havent moved away from them at all.

It is very easy to tell when someone is moving or acting in ways that are not normal

Had one drop me in a pit full of lava in front of an elite fire elemental two days ago. Does that count as a cheat?

was a herb node I found the rogue at so no not fishing port, wasnt titan overlord portal we were very remote and titan portal does not take you far its very small range. Dragonriding anchor not even considered as the rogue was not mounted and in stealth. Even if rogue shadowstepped you would see the smoke animation from it. Traditionally as in the old ways of hacking easily seen by blizzards system as gets you banned in seconds? No this is something new and if you see it try to report it although since it seems to be rogues doing this it will be very hard for obvious reasons

Why rogues, though?

no was not a titan node and there were no nearby herbs which is the node we were at. titan portal range is also very short it will not for example port you 200 yards away to the nearest herb/mineral it will at best teleport you to the one on your minimap or just outside the range of your minimap

These are bots that are using a teleport hack to mine ores and gather herbs atm.

The funniest part about you rocket scientists not being able to figure this out but he was queue for pvping or to do a dungeon while gathering, his queue popped and he’s like i’ll get that last herb and then accept this que/summon… pretty explainable

Bronze rewind you mean? We all have that with DR now.

Saw two dracthyr doing it on wra. Sent names and video proof to blizzard’s cheat email.

For bots, probably so you can’t right click them.

They’re probably hopping out to another realm. They find the node on one zone, then hop to another and the node, perhaps, is likely to be there as well. Do that a couple of times and you get 3 or 4 gathers without having to move. Just a game of having a mechanic to realm hop. Especially on the rarer or more valuable herbs.

Didn’t even know about this rewind feature. I like my bronze dragon. Can’t say I’ve seen any rogues doing nodes.

I’m into mining not herbs.

I’ve seen some people zoom across the map, but I’m pretty sure it was lag. I love Azure Span, but it’s got some wonky latency

ummm no it absolutely does not explain it. Do you know the probability of landing next to a herb seeing a rogue right in front of the herb in stealth when you land gather then vanish out of thin air without any suggestion as to what direction the rogue went to? It’s very unlikely that I land and a rogue is in stealth right in front of me just to gather an herb. It isn’t rocket science to say the rogue is botting with portal cheats to gather nodes quickly

What if he was realm hopping to refresh the nodes?
Or if he accepted an invite to a dungeon or pvp instance?
Or if he chugged an invis potion for whatever reason?
Or if he was just playing on Mcdonald’s WiFi and was about 30 yards away when the servers caught up to him?

There’s a billion of these.
