Does anyone notice a hitbox frame from using portals?

I have seen other obvious squares where the graphics don't blend
1. Meteor impact on liquid surfaces leaves a square outline
2. When fishing standing on water that has a lot of wave activity animated.
For me I have an old pc with limited graphics and its just a product of my graphic settings.

Well im not like super into high end rigs but I shouldn't run into this with a 1050 gtx ti and not sure what setting it is to shut it off.
Started up with a driver update not long ago on my 1060. Haven't cared enough to look into it.
