Portal from caverns of time to stormwind dropping people in the ocean

The hotfix notes from yesterday say this was fixed. It’s not. Nothing was fixed. It’s still happening. Thankfully I was on my Evoker so I didn’t fall to my death.

Still happening. I suspect that where you end up falling, depends on where you are falling from.

So… Caverns of Time drops you off the coast of Badlands. Pandaria drops you in the lake next to Lorderon in Trisfal Glades, over the islands. And so on.

SW (and it sounds like Undercity and Ogrimaar) incoming ports are VERY buggy. Sometimes you make it, sometimes you don’t.

Confirmed to still be happening. Took the portal, left the room, then hear a blaring alarm coming from my speakers, head back, and see that I am in the middle of the Forbidding Sea, far from the coast and Fatigued.

What on planet Azeroth is going on here?

I think it’s been mentioned a few times that mage teleport (have not tried mage portal, just teleport) sends you to unintended locations too. Seems to only apply to Stormwind. I ended up on Caer Darrow today when trying to get to stormwind.

Hopefully this info is helpful data to getting a fix.

Took the SW portal from Cavern of Time and appeared in the middle of the Forbidding Sea. My hearthstone was on cooldown so used my Garrison Hearthstone and appeared free-falling under my garrison unable to do anything. Finally got out by queing for a dungeon, and using my regular hearthstone at the end which at this point was off cooldown. Good times.

Funny thing is that you can’t make it back in time before the Exhaustion, or whatever its called, kills you again, WHILE you’re already dead. go fig thats new one on me. Blizzards new gold sing. Guess i gotta macro the get nekkid to my bars everytime I portal somewhere, whats next dancing on mailboxes?

I tried to teleport on my mage to Stonard from the Caverns of Time & I found myself in the fatigue water off the coast of the Blasted Lands! I made it back to shore (ty skyriding) & tried again to teleport to Stonard & I ended up floating in nothing unable to do anything. I had to use Blizzard’s Move Character service to get my character to safety. I’m too afraid to try to type of teleport now as you can only use the service once every 4 hrs!!! What is going on!?

Same thing on my druid. I shifted into travel form and flew back out of the ocean where I was getting fatigue because I was so far off the coast.

This is STILL happening. Just took my warlock to badlands while riding on eve’s broomstick.

It was amusing because I could just fly up from there but not amusing because I was wanting to go back to Stormwind :expressionless:

The Horde Mage teleport and portal to Stonard is also doing the same thing. It dropped me out in the middle of the ocean in the same spot as above and I saw some Alliance folks swimming out there too which prompted me to come to the forums.

Fortunately with skyriding I was able to make it to shore before the fatigue bar ran out, but I would suggest everyone use their hearthstone to leave the Caverns of Time area and not use any portals of any kind, including ones generated by your friendly local mages, until this is fixed. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Is t his just happening to Alliance players? Or are horde players dealing with this going to Org?

I think there have been a few horde teleport issues, but the majority of the problems seem to be stemming from trying to get to Stormwind. There is also a Garrison hearthstone issue that just leaves you suspended in midair unable to do anything. Basically try to leave the event area you are screwed…

It is still doing that - there is no way this is a bug either. Someone intentionally did that thinking they were funny, well I guess if they just key in numbers for coordinates it could be a mistake keying 65 instead of 56.
