The best I’ve found so far is unlocking the portal on the tower above the inn and using your 30 min cooldown to get there.

Anyone know why this quest isn’t showing up or available? None of my characters have this quest yet have completed the forbidden reach story.

Have you done the waygate questline from Thaelin Darkanvil in the Waking Shores, near the Dragonscale Expedition camp? That is what unlocks all the waygates, and it may require all of the others to be done before the Forbidden Reach one is unlocked.
Fortunately, it’s account wide, so only needs to be done on one character.
FYI I have completed maybe 4 of the waygate quests but not all of them and got offered this quest by the Nanners guy that rode up. Not sure what the full prerequisite is but it seems like it might be separate from the rest.

Yes, I too do not wish to be near the filthy peasants who use flight paths, I’m too dang important to do that.
Also using a Hearthstone in Valdrakken? Next you’re gonna say I should take public transport!
