Everytime we get here I wonder how many won’t be coming back.
People are waiting for 10.1 at this point. But lots of people are still doing timewalking.
No there is nothing wrong with the population, it’s 1 week before S2 drops, who is left are only ticking off the last-minute stuff they want. For me I need 2 more pieces of conquest gear and maybe next week push that last 170 M+ rating points and I will be done and ready for S2 on my new main.
It’s the end of a patch/season cycle, happens every time. May 2nd I believe is the beginning of the next season.
Has PvP ever not been like that though?
It’s always against a premade when I lose!
No WoW is DEAD. If you disagree you’re just in denial
I wish there was more silly stuff to do together. Like FF14’s Foundation crap. That place is constantly booming.
Then again, people feel incentivized to do it. It’s like their weird version of the “Trading Post.” And they have multiple versions at that.
It hurts to know they do player retention and cosmetic/gear availability way better than we do. Blizzard is way too obsessed with FOMO.
Once again, it’s the end of the tier and it’s normal for things to die down until literally next week when the new season hits.
But on the other extreme WoW has been “dead” for over a decade… I think anyone that is half honest knows its all somewhere in between.
Hahaha this is so true!!!
There’s an entire world to interact with you troglodyte. If you literally cannot stand to play any other aspect of the game just alt-tab.
Zoomers…
It is the slow part of the season the butt end. People are taking breaks til the new stuff. Is no biggie.
There’s really nothing to do besides raiding and mythic+. Since season two is only two weeks away, people are just taking a break until that patch drops.
same cycle every time since I been here.
players rush back when new crap comes down the pipe, then it slows up a bit till the next batch drops.
Or gasp…
Make BGs more interactive and fun other than chasing the same basic reward upgrades every new tier.
Why not add “fun” non rated BGs that have helicopters, flying dragons, and real time strategy elements?
Or create a large continent perpetual BG that never ends where players control most of the content. It’s a form of open world pvp obviously without losing your gear. Players can become knights, kings, or whatever in this pvp zone. They can create their own tax system for the areas they control, use caravans to ship important resources, etc… There would need to be some special rules if one side outnumbers the other side dramatically. Perhaps there can be damage and healing bonuses for the lower population side based on the population disadvantage. My biggest beef is there would be too many stealther classes. Not sure how to limit players using them on this continent, but I can see it becoming a problem over the long term. That includes rogues and camouflaged hunters.
I can go on and on, but you get the idea. I’m sure other more creative people can do more with it.
WoW BGs are stale. I only queue for them to learn how to pvp with a new alt and get some basic gear. Most of the time I go there with my new alt knowing I’m going to lose, so I don’t even try. I just partially afk and don’t care about any objectives or helping.
I rarely enter BGs expecting fun because they are not really fun anymore.
That would be everyone’s fav aHolinka. Wow doesn’t stand a chance with the inept apathy that rots the game they didn’t invent.
It’s funny that the only fun one left is ‘comp stomp’. LOL @ combat dev.
Yea, and how come there are no BGs with castles and keeps to take over with siege equipment and other creative means?
Instead, we just get another reskinned boring Battleground with a slight change in rules.
Personally, I’m sick of it.
come to stormrage, we are plentiful
Funnily enough, it was the players who complained about pvp gear being so good and easy to get that even as pve players they felt forced to pvp for gear. Pvpers were similarly mad earlier that some pve gear was good for pvp and demand blizzard fix this. The ilvl change in pvp is the result of this and now people are mad that blizzard actually listened to feedback.
