I recently upgraded to a 4090 from my old 3080 and noticed a big performance loss in raids. With my 3080, I would maintain 100+ fps at almost every graphical setting maxed out.
With the 4090 however, my fps will drop to 40-50 and the game would also stutter. Before the boss is pulled, GPU usage will be around 60-70% and will drop to 20-30% as the fight gets more intense. The 3080 never dropped below 99%.
CPU usage is around 15-20%.
(M+ works fine with the 4090 though, 100+ fps at all times w/ max graphics).
I’ve updated all my drivers, even tried reinstalling Windows 11 but nothing worked so far.
Anyone else having this issue? Tweaking graphical settings does nothing.
WoW is the only game where I’m experiencing this issue. Other games work flawlessly on my PC.
This has nothing to do with you. I decided to go to win11 this weekend. The whole thing when like glass real smooth.
I thought I saw AMD load the current Win11 drivers. Unfortunately it didn’t I had a huge pile of errors when I ran wow… I thought let’s check manually. Sure enough it’s only got the latest win 10.
Get win11 loaded and for the sake of not having to listen to some junior tech tell this 45 year computer engineer how to fix my pc to run 20 year old junk ware gaming software. I swept battlenet and the game. Fresh install of both.
Game runs YEAH!
But your game is still shuttering like it did after last weeks booting fest. AND I KNOW ITS NOT WINDOWS11 nor my graphic card.
As we continue to wait for the children to fix the game yet again….
yeah … i think the game still uses bits of coding from 2004 that might not play nice with the latest code … autoloot is still busted (not working 100% of the time and there’s a few bug reports about it)
i had the same thing but i swapped from a 5800x3d->9800x3d but still using the rtx 4070ti, i turned off vsync and oh god the frame rate is godly afterwards
