whoever the dev is that decided that a super low drop rate for a pet during a LIMITED TIME EVENT needs to rethink it because 100+ attempts and still not get it is really bad gaming. its bad enough that theres ppl that havent gotten the mount after YEARS like since the event has been running wich that drop rate really needs to be changed too but to make a stupid pet like that is even worse. ppl would rather farm tokens or some currency to buy this stuff with than to run multi characters every day just to get nothing this is really bad gaming.

I know this might be the 20th this, but gotta agree. I have not gotten it on any run. I have not seen it drop on any run. I have even run lots of extra times on my BDK to help others, even though I knew I could not get it, and still have not seen Arfus drop.

I got mine by luck, my wife hasn’t seen one drop, and I can’t trade it to her.
I feel bad for her. I’m still running as heals to try and get her hers, but it sucks that we might be looking at years before she has the one thing that made her log in for this event.
Assuming we keep coming back. We likely will, but now I have no reason to do it other than get her hers. It’s a pretty bad vibe, TBH. It would’ve felt so much better as a currency reward or something that allowed us to target it.

I finally got the mount after 17 years, or however long this reoccurring nightmare has been going on for.

It’s rare? I happened to get it on my 3rd/4th kill with all curses up.
Maybe RNGeezus was making it up to me for the 10 or so years I spent farming the HH mount.

Friend’s gotten it 2-3 times more as he’s been trying to get the armor, he got Arfus first day.
I just said in another thread how I wish it was at least tradeable if they’re not going to let you buy it, was there any reason given as to why it’s not buyable like most other things from Hallow’s End? I’m at 100+ attempts on multiple characters and nothing, at least I got the armor this year.

I agree…I did HH hardmode 5+ times a day across characters, every single day, and no arfus in sight (the only thing I actually wanted, btw). I just hope/pray that it will continue to be available in next years HH.

If the instructions the encounter designers got was to increase engagement, then people running it 100 times across multiple alts is a resounding success.
Want to show them that it’s a bad idea? Do it once a day, or not at all. Running all your alts through it in an obsessive drive to get another pet in your stable is telling them the exact opposite of it being a bad idea.

It’s a battle pet. For the most part people who get it, will bring him out only once or twice, say how cute he is, take a picture, and post pic on sm or here. After that’s done, he’ll just be in the collections collecting dust.

HM only boosts your drop rate once per day.

I was running with curses on all my characters but yesterday I decided that it wasn’t worth the extra effort because I wasn’t seeing anything drop at all. Since I stopped doing it with curses I’ve had both arfus and the saddle drop. 
My partner has had no such luck though.

What are you talking about? I got Arfus my first try w/ out any curses. I have every reward. Just get luckier.

I finally got the helm to drop Tuesday. Irl has kept me away from the game more than usual and it was an upgrade. I decided not to upgrade any gear until after I ran this weeks TW. I figured I’d be HH cackling for a while with an upgraded helm. Last night in the TW box, 431 helm.

I swear it is just some characters that are coded incorrectly in some manner. My feral can never get anything to drop in any content.
I switched to my hunter after 5 runs and then got the saddle glyph and the pet. My DK got the key on its first run. My feral got absolutely nothing but masks.

The only thing I actively collect in-game are pets. I’m running 8 characters a day now and zip. I’ll be really bummed to see Arfus in the “Uncollected” column for the next year.
