I have been fishing in Argus for over a week now couple hrs here and there for mount. Nothing but greys, I have noticed twice now I fished out something blue, but it doesnt store in my bags. I have auto loot so its hard for me to catch the name of the said item. Is the mount purple in color when it fished out or blue? Should I change to manual loot instead, will it change me be able to loot the item maybe? I dont know what to think of it, its clearly a blue item no other loot with it.
I got mine from the fishing goggles that leads into the hyper-compressed ocean stuff.
It should be purple.
Looking at Wowhead, it could take upwards of 2000 casts to get. Although if RNG hates you, it could be much, much more.

The blue thing you’re catching is probably Blood of Sargeras, since it stacks it won’t show up in its own bag slot.

According to wowhead, it uses one of the old ammo icons that looks, at a glance, a bit like a brown tentacle with yellow suckers across a black background.

yeah most likely, since it can be gotten from fishing.
You can get it from the fish in the bubbles. It is honestly how I got it.

I have asked them via ingame bug and suggestions for a long time. If my addon to track attempts is correct (and they are pre accurate within reason) then 0,05% chance is around the drop rate of this mount. That is by far a tad rediculous. I get the mop world bosses were a “typo left unfixe which I doubt”, Blizzard have been doing time sync stuff since I think legion I could be wrong ( correct me if I am) whether ts pets toys mounts or transmog items blizzard has put things they and obviously players find desireable on the sub 0.0% level of chances. I don’t blame them for that choice its just not a overly enjoyable choice we have to live with. My current time sync is shadowlands covenant transmog farming which is a lot harder than the mounts and pets for that expansion not sure why. Some rares for example the Inquisitor’s for the Avowed Reputation which you can farm never drop any blue Transmog items on any of my 70’s( not sure if hard coded not to or some coding error preventing this, and I am on right armor/spec so that is not the issue.) and some Maldraxxus rares. the extra zones The Maw Zereth Mortis and Korthia don’t have these issues just the 4 core ones. Anywho I do hope we get some traction on this mount at least doubling the current drop rate would be fine by me. Spread the word if you feel so inclined I will continue to pester blizzard about this and other issues that I uncover. That is one hell of a necro. But the difference is that you can keep casting for it over and over again unlike a mount farm that you do once a week. I was going to do this fishing grind to get it but it’s not worth it.
