as a mage how long will polymorph last?
I heard some say 10 seconds and some say 15 seconds someone said 8 seconds also.
and the diminishing returns end after 15 seconds of no polymorph.
It could theoretically last the entire pve duration of the spell, the longer it goes the higher % chance to break. Typically the 1st one won’t last more than 15 seconds, could end sooner tho.
Vandal is wrong. CCs on players are capped at 15s in 1.12, regardless of however long the tooltip states. They will never last longer than this. (Protip, use lower ranks to save mana) After the first strike, max durations are reduced further and won’t reset until you go at least 15s without being hit by the same effect again.

Use lowest rank Frost Nova too.
I thought diminishing returns stop diminishing after 15 seconds of not being affected? A minute seems like a very long time.
After checking, looks like it is actually 15s to reset.
