Blizzard needs to bring it back. I like to transmog the top, but I dislike wearing robes. It was the best skimpy option us cloth wearers had. I do prefer the purple of [Barbaric Robes] but again, they are robes.
Why remove options for those of us who prefer skimpier mogs?

The top is still available, it’s just not available without the robes anymore. So clearly it wasn’t removed due to inappropriateness. Rather just as an unfortunate consequence of redoing the dungeon it dropped from.
No doubt. Wish they made ways of getting those items.
There’s a half dozen or so armor options this happened to. The Transmog section of the Forums might have more information on it. They’d also have people with suggestions on possible options that work with your top that you like. You might want to check them out.
Thanks, the problem isn’t really finding matching mogs though, it’s just that the item is only available as a robe now so I can’t transmog bottoms.
Okay. Possibly an entire section of the Forum dedicated to fashion might be useful in finding something that is similar.
