Max level on this character. I have 4 others in the 6 to 10 range.
Level 5 I think, the ones that you get after killing the cathedral boss, before the pages collection. It kinda feels like a lot of maintenance, just like garrison in WoD.
I think it’s because I need to do a checklist of things: go do invasion in one zone, go do invasion in another zone, get vision token, do vision. Feels like I don’t start to play until I finish and I don’t want to play anymore when I finish. And I can’t completely ignore it since corrupted items can make my character considerably stronger. So I rather play classic

Level 8 here. It would be maxed out if leveling it up wasn’t so damn boring.

I’m more or less ‘stuck’ at level 1 and just became frustrated after trying the visions a couple of times and dying to trash mobs that I’ll just solo it when Shadowlands comes out. They feel like doing a max-level dungeon with no party members IMO. Too hard for me so I’ll pass.
I have plenty of other things I enjoy about WoW so it’s all good! Trying to get Mecha-Done instead. That’s what I really like, there’s lots to do otherwise. 
I’m not the guy you quoted, but I agreed with him, so I’ll answer -
I don’t farm the thingies to buy extra vessels. I don’t do invasions or dailies every day - I rarely do dailies at all, and usually only do the invasion “Fill the bar, kill the name” WQ. When I do get vessels, I use them within the week, but not immediately - usually on weekends. I worry about failing them (pretty hard to do, admittedly, but I’m not extra confident in myself) so I likely don’t get the most bang for my buck (but did get what I needed for the upgrades) when I use them alone.
I’m not sure when I’ll need to do the hard areas (is that now? Is that my next step? I forget, I’d have to log in), but when I do, I’ll probably wait for my usual Visions buddy rather than trying to solo them.
I was capable of comfortably getting my most recent rank, but I’m still really nervous about trying the harder areas.
So, I do sit on them for a couple of days (waiting for my buddy), but I don’t have unused vessels by the time Tuesday reset gets close.
I hope that made sense, I’m on “May cause a random disorient effect” sinus medication and if half of that reads like a poorly translated furniture instruction book, I’m sorry lol.

The advantage I have (aside from an unhealthy detachment from the real world) is that I am not a competitive player. Although I have progress across a wide number of alts, I am not trying to stay bleeding edge on any of them. Most of the people complaining about alt-unfriendliness want to run content that I would not be able to attempt even on my “main”.

Is there an achieve for maxing out the cloak?
If not I’ll just keep it at lvl 10.
Cloak is level 6. No rush to get it higher. Corruption items are not a fun system. RNG is way overused this expansion.
my cloak is at max level. what i want to know is why yall won’t buff the nyalotha trinkets to be worth a damn? people in our raid are still using 415 font and coral because theyr’e simply the best in the entire game, even over mythic nyalotha trinkets.

As of 2 days later, 45% answered “max level, always” which is a lot higher than I expected for General Discussion. Especially given all the “horrific visions are impossible! we need infinite attempts to practice!” threads a month ago.
well, most people caught up to current when they increased the number of pages from 2 to 4 that you can get up to rank 11
