Just got to Maldraxxus this morning. I’ll give it a 5, which might go up or down as I get further in.

Think I’d have to break it into categories.
Art/covenants/expanding wow lore-universe- probably a 9/10.
Excessive amounts of timegates, systems and chorecraft/severely offspec unfriendly- 0/10.

After just a week? Hmm. A good solid 8/10.
7-8, need to experience the raid first to give my full score but I’m loving the dungeons and Torghast is very fun.
I am in Revendreth and man I love this zone! I feel I’m home.
There are issues, I can’t deny that, and I haven’t gotten to end game content yet. But so far to be fair I’d say 7-8/10.

Solid 7. It’s opening on the same tier as Legion, which is to say, really really good, but I do think Blizz needs to nail post-launch releases now more than ever, because I think 9.0 will run out of content for most players much faster than they realize.
They’ve laid the path to make SL a 9, but they’ve also laid the rope that they can hang themselves with. It really really depends on the post-launch support.

Seven so far. There’s definitely some adjustments to be made but I’ll see where they want to take it for a month before I start complaining too much.
8 or 9 so far.
Reasons why:
- The questing is the best I’ve experienced playing wow
- The covenant system is well built, and implemented, with a ton of content that I’m excited for.
- Torghast is surprisingly fun? I didn’t really get it at first, but I’m really into it now.
- Visuals & music are stunning.
I do think there’s going to be some big covenant changes coming, Maldraxxus seems to be pretty bad for most specs.
Additionally, I’m not a huge fan of the time gating. But I understand why they did it.

I’m thinking a 7 or 8 at the moment. It isn’t a bad expansion (yet) and I’m enjoying the gameplay, but there’s a lot of room for improvement.

It’s a little early and I may regret this. But having cleared all of the content available to me so far, I’d say that this is my favorite expansion in the 15 years I’ve been playing the game. Right behind MoP for me.
Torghast is my favorite feature (if a bit unrewarding) as it feels like a really old school dungeon crawler. Would love to see some stuff to go after though, maybe it’ll come at later levels, maybe not.
The dungeons are really fun and the story is an amazing single-player experience. And for me, the leveling process has always been a single-player experience. I do not like leveling with other people.
There is a lot of stuff to discover in this expansion, and discovery is a big part of a RPG that this game has been missing for a bit.
I look forward to M+ and progression raiding. If that’s great and I don’t feel like a total jerk for picking Nightfae over Kyrian, and new content arrives in a timely fashion, then I’ll keep my stance on this being the best expac they’ve ever put out (for me).

2/10. Power being tied to the covenants ruined it and made choosing one feel really bad.
If they fixed that issue, I’d give it an 8/10.

A solid 6, it would be higher but…
- The Maw needs a revamp
- The time-gating on renown is ridiculous at least allow to get 5 levels in one week.
- And the travel has been fairly annoying, didn’t realize I’d miss the flight whistle so much.
Keep in mind, BFA was barely a 2. Legion was about 7.5

Probably started at a 5/10. But the more I play it the lower it gets. I’d say it’s a 3/10 right now.

I’d say SL is roughly on par with BFA. The leveling is ok with some decent highlights, but so was BFA. The honeymoon phase will soon end and people will see what a soulless chore the wq are. Torghast will also eventually become a chore. The crafting is insanely awful.
To me, BFA was a 1 so SL is also a 1.
A lot of ppl praising the expansion haven’t finished loremaster, done the wq, mythics, torghast etc. And once you play through it all and see the endgame loop, it’s pretty much worse than BFA. So the leveling is better than BFA slightly, but the endgame loop is worse in terms of boring chores.
There’s enough here to keep u busy and engaged for about a week or so and then things will start to suck hard.
