I think elves fit in classic since they are already around but strictly for alliance. They just don’t feel right in the horde and there would have to be some lore changes. Not going down the blood elf path etc. I would also like to see Ogres for the horde. Yay or nay?
Wider hips on elves too
“The greater the thiccness, the greater the attraction” Isaac Newton
I would like them. Makes complete sense in the lore
I like the idea.
A while back, I thought of a “Season of the 2nd War”. Replace Night Elves with High Elves, replace Tauren and Undead with Ogres and Goblins, and make Mage/Warlock an Alliance/Horde class, respectively.
Same substantive content, just a different take.
Greatest of minds.
But no more elfs. Let’s have something new for C+ that doesn’t mean differently color coded high/blood/toxic a la britney spears elfs.
Ogres or furbolg or heck even murlocs.
just give horde undead paladins and i dont care what other races they add
That makes no lore sense……
I think Blizzard should either keep Classic+ without paladins…..or if they want Classic+ to be an alternate timeline……
- Add blood elves to the Horde without repeating TBC, alternate scenerio of it happening.
- Or, Introduce Sunwalkers earlier in the timeline, so Tauren Paladins. A race that fits paladins far more then Undead.
But back to the main topic, yes High Elves should be added to Classic+, they are a race that already exists apart of the Alliance, even with small numbers in Classic.
It’s nice playing an elf paladin on team blue on some other server……so I want the opportunity to play one officially if Blizzard implants them.
Nay. Blood elves for horde, of course. That would have to be mandatory
That will just be the new human warrior. Already seen this on 2 different servers. You’ll see then like you see browns in anni
C+ doesn’t have to follow the established canonical/retail timeline. It could be something different just as the Warcraft film.
When paladins fell they rose again as Forsaken with their faith/abilities twisted. It’d be great and engaging.
edit okay they were Scourge first but playable undead paladins plz
Should be burned in the same fire we use to eradicate the infestation of furries on retail.
undead pallies and dwarf shaman ftw.
though i would miss the fem draenei /waggle.
Werent the OG Death Knights fallen warriors raised with the souls of warlocks? I remember that from WC2.. Also the dude in black temple, gorefiend was the first one as i remeber it.
In WC3 they scuffed all the lore and retcon’d a ton of things that were better before the retcon.
UD paladins… god that would be the dream. Long as they dont use the garbage paladin designs of TBC+ or SoD.
I assure you I can do a much better and more balanced job. Everything TBC+ including SoD was boring and child proof, this was a big mistake.
they would have to redo all the pally gear for the ud pally to even work cause i dont think they made the models for it.
but it would be pretty sweet.
Correct. Warcraft 2 Death Knights were Azerothian Knights raised by the Shadow Council, and apart from some signature abilities (Death & Decay) they were more akin to what we now call Warlocks in WoW.
I can’t remember how much of that was actually explained in WC2, versus what was subsequently retconned. Blizzard has tried to make the Horde-Alliance conflict more nuanced but it was pretty clear in WC2 that the Horde were evil.
Yeah but my thinking was in C+ they’d be more of a parallel to the Fallen Crusaders we saw in Wrath since that was something Blizz could build on.
Speaking of - and correct me if I’m talking out my butt - during Vanilla’s development, weren’t Horde and Alliance Priests planned to be significantly different from one another in a Shadow-Holy dichotomy? Which is why Priest is the only class that today has significant differences between races?
different versions of faith.
Yeah its most unfortunate they nerfed the lore of the horde for the sake of modernism.
Even lore loke Tyr’s hand and the silver hand paladins is a hybrid rip off of norse mythology, hell even near the whole story of WC1 is norse mythology remixed, much of WC2 is also.. tho they likely borrowed from WH40K also, that also borrowed from norse mythology, and near every scifi ever.
That is the thing about all these so called IP that makes me laugh.. when the ignorant defend it thinking its purely an original work when it is not even close.
