i tried this back in the day with RAF. althou only 3 characters and it was kind of a miserable experience. Used basic macros and a resto druid for hots so i could spend more time DPSing. Felt awful but to each their own.

No, what I have done is enjoyed questing on two toons while being targeted by people like you in your hate group for enjoying playing the game differently than you. I didnāt use multiboxing to go farm materials or for PVP. Honestly though - half of me wants to go from 2 accounts for my own fun to 10 and do nothing but farm materials without using input broadcasts just to irritate you hateful people.

you can still force respawn an entire zones herbs/mining with enough toons
no one cares that you play on two characters. do you use a program to automate your other character? if so you arenāt part of the games target audience anymore.

Iāve always only cared about the before and after of things.
Like donāt get me wrong motivations and intentions are grand things.
but at the end of the day whats happening here is that the ease to do what will continue to be done have been made much harder.
However this shouldnāt translate as a defeat or victory for anyone.
All it means is that adjustments will be made and as always everything already being done can still be done manually without 3rd party mirror tech
I automated nothing. I played within the terms and spirit of the game using input broadcasting to replicate keystrokes so that I had one hardware input to one in game action per client.

The only people this hurts is the legit multiboxers who just want a new challenge and to have fun. People will always find new ways to bot and abuse the system, but to ban multiboxing for a botting issue is the laziest action Blizzard could take. It solves nothing and only destroys yet another aspect that made this (once great game) into what it is. The simple possibility to do Anything. No limitations.

can someone please tell me what new and unique challenge there is to using a program to Multibox? Iām seriously dying to know, Iāve seen this posted 9000 times since this announcement. Is farming old raids 5 times at once a unique challenge?

Iām not. This has always been the rule.
in theory: each toon represents 1 more player radious /zone /phase in farming as well as 1 more player in dps / heals /tank/whatever
I donāt think people understand the technicality of 1 click for all clients as opposed to 1 click per client

How quickly people forget that the 1 hardware action to 1 in game action was about repeaters and hardware macro keys that send multiple key strokes and was indeed based on per game and not per system. Official blue posts stated that multiboxing was not a violation because it was not taking one hardware action and turning it into multiple in game actions per client.

It is automation. I cant open 2 wow clients and do the same exact thing without using a third party program. maybe it wasnāt against the rules, but it is now and is fair and justified.

i have something against it because i think there is more to this then just multiboxing and mirroring 3rd party programs.
It will be good for the game but i smell politics and wall street all over this mess. Doesnāt help i think itās directly because of the way they coded the recent systems like chromie time and WM. makes me feel that they have little grasp as to the extend of their product.
Or they know damn well and they are playing us all.
Why do people keep bringing up chromie time? What am I missing?
we all know the extent a multiboxer/bot can farm an area
times that by 14 and you have all possible chromie time phases WM on/off a player can have as their own pocket dimension to farm
