Policy Update for Input Broadcasting Software

of course they can, and they will be more effective than a multiboxer too if they were really determined to prevent someone turning quest in
but nobody is making a group of people an actionable offense though

they are clearly not though.

If 20% of multiboxers stop playing blizzard will be crying. There are a ton of them across all servers and retail and classic. Most of them don’t fight or bother anyone so you don’t see them. If you think the economy will improve much you must not realize that the botters actually hold more subs than everyone else combined though. Besides, in classic the multiboxers can’t do much to hurt the economy either. Retail is more affected, but not nearly as much as the botters do.

here a few examples, sargeras, area 52, ragnaros, quelthalas, moonguard, illidan, usually are mid to hig pop servers, gatherign loot, herbs, ore ,etc 24/7 making the economy die in weeks of each new tier

Ah, Victory.

Do you think things will be better when each flask goes for 800 gold like it does on some other servers?

This is the best quality of life news I have heard for the health of this game in a long time. I took a long hiatus about halfway through 8.3 due to corruption and the inability to actually herb in Nazjatar due to multi boxers figuring out what the cap amount was on how many herbs can be picked on one herb before it will despawn regardless.

id wager not at all, with VMs it’s your os not 3rd part software and with kvms its purelu hardware.

Because botters make questing more difficult for everyone around them. I’ve had several instances of botters stealing mobs & making it impossible to finish quests.

Hip Hip
 HOORAY! :fireworks: :sparkler: :firecracker: :tada:

I have no stats on the number of accounts used for multi-boxing or who already paid for Shadowlands and can’t refund
but all I have say is laugh out loud. I assume some probably paid for gametime and/or expansions with tokens from the insane ability to farm ANY & EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME.

Regardless of these few who buy several PC’s and accounts, ETC. this is better for the experience of the overall player base and not the (approximately) 1%, which is probably way less than that but who knows.

Main reason I started doing it was to be more efficient at collecting mounts. Namely those irritating pandaland worldboss mounts I still dont have since the mists xpac came out. Multibox 5 team, 5 tries, 5 coins, and still 10 disappointments. Makes it a little more bearable.
I mean. I can still do it, its just going to be a little more difficult/frustrating mounting everyone, setting a follow, etc etc.

Fix the main problem here. Change mob looting rules/hyperspawns and change gathering nodes to 1 loot.

Another mark on the ‘Blizzard is finally fixing WoW’ sheet! Thank you so much, multiboxing has been a plague on this game for so freaking long. As an avid PvPer I have an extra special burning hatred for the crap, this is incredible!

Interesting. That may be a contributing factor.

I don’t think there’s a reason why Blizzard made the change, but many. And unless/until there’s a tell-all book, we’ll likely never know.

I’m not sure why people are so happy. Unless Blizzard enforces said rule. It means nothing.

Also for people that are canceling. Just wait, like I said my friend who also mutibox calling Blizzard bluff on this.

My reason was so I could solo Island Expeditions for those mounts

You just literally made a huge extra workload, when someone using the hardware gets banned or a warning they have to take the time of your not so accessible existing customer service to prove they were using an ok program. So you lose money and you made yourself extra work. I am not sure why you would want too, but I never try to lose money and cause extra work for myself. You didn’t ban multiboxing because you cant ban the hardware, you can ban the software but this is opening a huge can of worms on your customers and customer service. I am sure down the road you will just say ban first and make them prove they were not doing anything wrong. Such is the way of the world. I have played 5 accounts from original TBC, I enjoyed the challenge of setting up the toons playing them in sync, and everything that came the game, I also single boxed every raid ever made. What I wont enjoy is showing you that I have a hardware setup vs a software set up. But I will set up video proof picture proof in advance. But I will not enjoy the time it takes to prove it to you even though I will take these steps.
