Been getting a polearm every week for my weekly quest that I am having to vendor because I am a Beast Master Hunter and I don’t use Polearms!! Loot specialization is set to BM and I could really use a weapon upgrade that isn’t a polearm
I’m having the same issue with my BM hunter. The few times I’ve seen weapon rewards for a WQ it’s always a polearm, and my loot spec is set to BM as well. Frustrating!

I only get staves and polearms as world quest rewards on my BM hunter, too.

Now that you mention it, I’ve seen staves as a WQ reward. Like the polearm, it’s useless for a BM hunter.

Loot specialisation has no bearing on World Quest rewards.

That’s understandable, but you would think they’d mix it up for all specs if that’s the case. I check every day twice and it’s usually the same few pieces of gear and off-spec weapons. Even weirder, a lot still with 158 ilvl despite being renown 20 and 180 ilvl. Sometimes I have the same piece of gear up on three quests in one zone at the same time. One might be higher and the other two are 158. It’s hard to figure out the new system lol.

The RNG has no will to “mix it up”. Each roll is independent of the ones before, and there is no “bad luck protection.” You could roll up 1000 polearms in a row, although that would be spectacularly unlucky. Unlucky, but not impossible, not a bug.
Same dumb result. Polearm every damn reward is getting ridiculous.
Its January 2024, and I see this has been a problem since 2021… I still see Polearms as an award for WQ, even though my loot specialty is set to Beast Mastery (I double checked before I posted 
). Message to Blizzard: Will this ever be addressed? TIA
Loot spec has intentionally never affected world content, like WQs.
It’s not a bug, so posting a complaint in Bug Reports is pointless.
