I just found out that I can aggravate friendly NPCs by poking them, I thought you could only do that in StarCraft, I guess I was wrong.

yep, when i found that out i made it my mission to poke every single npc to hear their lines
my favorite one is when that vulpera says they should’ve left you and then they apologize right after

Found out today if you turn the volume all the way up and stand in a tavern, you can hear a guy and woman talk. The guy sounds kinda of aggressive and at one point says “get over here” and then you hear some dishes or something being moved around.

there is a worgen npc in the dreamgrove who actually gets nicer when you poke her and it’s honestly the most uncomfortable thing i’ve seen in this game

My favorite one was when the Draenai was trying to not get angry by telling himself “patience is a virtue” and other things.

Poke khadgar in dalaran to much and he wets himself from being tickled
This is actually the case in a lot of Blizzard games. They put in a lot of silly voice lines that nobody ever hears unless you’re looking for them. Go try it on all the major NPCs from the past few expansions. I seem to recall Illidan having some interesting dialogue aboard the Vindicaar…

Do you have to spam it or do they respond to the first one? I just tried a bunch of npcs and nothing happened…
Just find a npc and left click it. The first few responses will be a standard friendly greeting. After the fourth or fifth response they will start to get annoyed at you and give you the more annoyed responses.
