Pokemon Sword and Shield releases in 9 days. Not gonna’ lie, the Pokemon series is pretty good, and the PVP is very complex. Anyone who enjoyed the series as a kid would be well off buying the game if they are interested in competitive PVP.
With that being said, I’m a complete noob and will be assembling a full team of Eeveelutions with a payback/baton pass/curse/moonlight Umbreon. Come at me, Bug Catcher.
Is this why people ignore him?

i LOVED pokemon yellow and silver when i was a kid.
i wish they had a game similar to those with upgraded GFX and such, i would def buy it.
or like some1 else suggested a pokemon game thats kinda like breath of the wild, that would be insane.

Bruh every pokemon game is the same m8, they might change the regions and stuff with new pokemon but at the end of the day its nearly the same

I like to play a few game but I mostly stick to NU and RU myself, I just like those brackets more then OU or UU. Never been a fan of ubers either.
You should check out some youtube pokemon pvpers. For more competitive I like James Beck (he does fights that show different team builds, and he explains why he chooses moves).
One of the guys I went to high school with went to Worlds in San Francisco a few years ago so I usually just ask him.
Looks hype! Though its a shame they are going to cut half the pokemon in this generation and idk how they’re going to take out Garchomp but Gardevoir and Hydreigon somehow made the cut.
What do you guys think of SWSH?
I’m not a huge fan of Dynamax or the dexit but the meta itself is fresh and relatively fun. My favorite mon has been gyarados since I was like 8 so I’m not complaining about building teams around moxie gyarados and dynamaxing after a DD lol.
Are you running Dragon Dance with your Gyarados? I usually go with Multi Scale Dragonite dancer but guess who was cut :[
