Poisons fading when entering/exiting BGs

Is this supposed to be a feature?
Because it’s incredibly annoying

Been this way for quite a while now. Does it in arenas as well. Just be happy we don’t have to farm mats for poisons anymore. Angry Rogues from everywhere would storm the Blizz headquarters and gank all of the dev team.

Is activision ruining this game on purpose or something?
I mean, I can’t imagine how dumb a developer needs to be to think this would be a good idea.

For all we know it could be a bug that Blizz just doesn’t care enough about to fix. Vanish has been broken for years, been 100s of forum posts about it, and Blizz hasn’t even acknowledged it. Unfortunately, since GC left the dev team, things have gone massively down hill.

I didn’t mind poison mats. You didn’t have to farm them in late TBC (when I started playing) if you didn’t want to. Shady vendors sold the mats you needed anyway. Farming just saved you the gold.

I haven’t played assassination in a while, but at some point in MoP, they made it so equipping a fishing pole canceled the poison buffs. THAT annoyed me, because if a mob attacked me while I was fishing, I had to blind them (or something), to be able to poison my weapons. That change made me actively avoid fishing.

This is very very annoying. But from what I can tell - Poisons applied in the main world stay when you enter a BG. Poisons applied during a BG/Arena fade once the game is over.

So if you go into an arena without poisons (or you refresh poisons once inside), those poisons are removed upon leaving. You still think you have poisons applied and join a new arena, and find out they are gone.

That’s not the case for me, the are removed anyway, doesn’t matter when or where I applied them
