Pointless to be Caster in PVP

Instead of wasting resources on Plunderwhatever, maybe you should fix the actual real PVP issues in Retail WoW. Casters cannot do anything with the lousy cc spam and people playing with macro bots and add ons that circumvent actual human hands playing.

Terrible melee meta garbage.

I have always thought casters get the short end in PvP. When I played a lock I had tried PvP. It was bad.

Just use one of your many caster CCs

It’s terrible how casters can’t cast a damn thing.

Might be a hot take but I feel like casting without moving is a dead paradigm. Not that I mean 100% movement but something along the lines of Dark Souls seems at least worth trying.

I feel this I don’t mind pvp, but it is not fun as a caster. If we could move and cast at least some spells you’d have a chance, but between being rooted to cast and being squishy it sucks. Cast times are pretty long to and so easy to get interrupted or stunned into oblivion

The lack of mobility for casters while paladin, death knight, rogue, monk, warrior all dog pile on you is insane! Some classes and races are just not built to last and it shows.

It’s getting bad in PvE as well. Folks manage to make it work but it’s reaching the point of FF14 Black Mage. Extreme movement profile to warrant “top-end” DPS. Practically masochistic until some pro-arsed player documents it for the masses.

Not every caster has spammable CCs that they can cast and then go back to their original target. I’m certainly not referring to warlocks when I say this by the way.

That’s what literally thousands of players have been saying since the plunderstorm came in.
I agree, but only in part. They are different groups of people.
One team made plunderstorm, and another team focuses on pvp.
Some overlap, probably, but I don’t know enough to say how much. I can take an educated guess and say it’s likely very little overlap.

AGain, I agree. For the people that lke it…power to you. But it’s taking time and money away from the core issues that are causing serious problems with the game. Not really okay.

I don’t recall saying spammable CCs

Yeah, if Blizzard takes away anything from Plunderstorm, it should be how god awful the design of retail has gotten.

Kinda funny because playing a dk in pvp feels like absolute dog water compared to a mage. Icy chains and grip are great until I need to get a melee off me…lol. At least you have escape abilities, I’m just bringing that warrior closer to my face :).

No gap buddy, get that axe in there, I’ll just heal back 5% of my health with death strike. :dracthyr_cry_animated:

Totally agree! I mean Evoker and Shaman are the only casters that can move but Evoker is limited cause you can’t move while doing empowered spells. So if they really are trying to introduce more classes with empowered abilities, they better make Casters have more abilities while moving or it’s going to be a really dead game not only in PVP, but also PVE!

Yes, you did not use the word spammable, but between polymorph, fear, and cyclone for mage, warlock, and druid respectively alongside their other CCs, I don’t think it’s a reach to think you didn’t think of any of those when thinking about caster CCs.

This is really only a problem in arenas. In small scale pvp, micro CCs are just too powerful and really make it hell to play a caster. In larger PVP environments when casters have more room to move around and can stay at range, casters are OP.

Rated solo queue BGs will fix it.

They most certainly can, though. :dracthyr_love_animated:

No, it isn’t. Casters are excellent in arena.

Sure but to try and pretend that every caster doesn’t have multiple CC’s is kind goony

Funny how higher ratings usually favor caster meta.

So much cap in this thread

And where did I say all casters, or any caster for that matter, only have one CC?
