If blizzard does not know how to design a “normal” tier set for DKs why cant they just try to listen from any of the suggestions from the player community. Why do I need a 40% proc on a 4 piece bonus for a random one stupid effect from all three. And UH’s 4 piece is even worse, dude a 5% dmg buff on a 4-p bonus seriously?
Even mage get rid of that stupid power rune, why would DK still rely on DnD to even “normally” do their AOE rotation? If we happened to have our tanks pull mobs away from the DnD, it just goes straight down to ST. Why would this mechanism be so punishing in M+?
Why would UH still suffer from all these issues? The redundant keybinds and rotation, forever waiting time before AOE dps vamp really really needs to be simplified.
And in the newest patch, u guys nerfed Vulkyrie and AOTD, which is really the most symbolic abilities of UH DK, by 30%, but the compensation does not really offset what we lost. DPS of UH DK outside of their bursting window is not that easily boosted up by these +12% buffs.
What is an example of a normal tier set?
Traditionally they are a 10-15% dps boost that mixes up your rotation a bit. Which this tier set looks like it is going to do.
There are a bunch of people screaming that fDK is too simple and needs more rotational abilities, then another group calling that we need to drop abilities like DnD because it’s bloating the rotation too much.
There is also a bunch demanding BoS to be redesigned or removed completely, but a bunch of high level players that like the resource management design of it.
The player community is anything but unanimous about the direction of the class, and the Devs aren’t sure what to do with it to make everyone happy.
I’m afraid this is a user issue. Either communication with the tank or skill gap in knowing when and where to place. My biggest gripe with DnD is the duration, it doesn’t match up with pof so you are forced to use during CDs rather than before. If they made it a 15sec duration I think that would be a nice QoL.
Imo, 10.2 DK tier is what a DK should look like. It set the standard IMO
Why would blizzard listen to a group of whiny children each with their own opinions of how the class should play?
Unanimously, mages rallies for multiple expansions on removing ROP, yet the dk forums is filled with nothing but negative nancies complaining the class is too hard and doesnt feel good etc.
I also hate to break it to you, but those buffs and nerfs on PTR did exactly what they were aiming for- overall dk dps is up significantly while burst is down a minor amount. Idk what kind of content youre doing on DK, but being useless outside of big burst phase is not fun, so this most certainly is a step in the right direction, and feels good.
Bicepspump was pretty happy with the UH tier set… Not saying your concerns are invalid, but that guy is one of the most knowledgeable in the community so
Bicepspump is a legend. If hes happy with it, it must be good, because not only is he the person most people go to for advice, hes also pretty much the biggest voice on dk balancing issues and holds no punches when things are off.
I tried PTR and it was nice to have a steady increase in damage, although it could be tuned a bit more
