I just healed a +10 Kings Rest that made the timer with about 5 minutes to spare.

Take heat off your healer any way you can. Avoid damage, use defensives/health pots/lock rocks, stun problem mobs. It’s not easy and DPS have to do things other than stab stuff, but it’s doable.

I’ve completed a number of keys over +7 this week. You need a strong healer, it’s true, but the group needs to use appropriate self heals, mitigation, and not take avoidable damage. I sometimes would stop dps to help heal even.

+7 is nothing, do them on 10+ specifically fights like the second boss in shrine or the witches in waycrest or the third boss in TOS. Its a garbage affix.

I can’t speak for all healing classes but these dungeons are totally manageable on 10+ with grievous as a Mistweaver Monk.

the group ( mostly dps probably ) isn’t using defensive cooldowns correctly.

waycrest witches is easy. have people tried using sacrificial cooldowns or interrupting? lol

Which ones Shrine TOS and WM?

Well since you asked, last week I completed a Shrine of the Storm +11 on my DH as DPS. I was only ilvl 352 at the time. Our group consisted of me, a 367 Enhance Shaman, a 383 Assassination Rogue, a 360 Blood DK, and a 362 MW Monk. All friends from my guild, btw. I’ll add that we were on voice comms as well. Clearly the Rogue was carrying our DPS but the rest of us were at least moderately under-geared. We came in way over the timer, however we were able to complete it. The 2nd boss gave us trouble, but mainly because I kept eating cleaves and dying. The last boss also gave us some grief, but we decided to use the strategy where we have the healer stay away until the first debuff is applied, which usually goes on a DPS if the healer isn’t in range. Once we got it worked out the phasing wasn’t bad because with a correct interrupt roation and enough DPS nobody took damage. We also kited the adds during the boss phase. We were phased and killed the phased adds 3 different times and by the end of the fight everyone but the tank had the debuff and we managed to kill the boss.

Considering the group was severely undergeared for the content I think we did pretty damn well. Our healer wasn’t struggling much because the DPS was doing the right thing and we didn’t miss our interrupts. The trick with grievous is to avoid the damage. Obviously having a Blood DK helped but he was also undergeared.

As for WCM, the witches have unavoidable damage but it is made exponentially worse if the DPS fail to interrupt and extra damage goes out. While I’m sure its difficult on grievous weeks its not going to be impossible if you work together as a team. Everyone seems to want to label an affix as rough on healers or tanks or whatever, the reality is that it is all group content and everyone in the group needs to help in any way possible. Create an interrupt rotation for everyone to follow and use addons that help you track when people use their interrupts. This will help immensely. If you are struggling to find this group cohesion in pugs then I suggest you make some friends or join a guild.

I don’t have any experience with ToS and grievous. I sure see how the 3rd boss could be rough, but again I think with group cohesion and creative strategies it should be doable.

Grievous is by no means an easy affix to deal with. I personally think its murder for Disc Priests due to the nature of their kit, but as MW Monk it is not game-breaking just a little more painful than usual.

Any dungeon is doable if your not trying to beat the timer. The problem with grievous is someone on your team messes up and everyone is screwed and there goes your timer.

So the complaint is that its too hard, my argument would be to get better. It is not impossible by any means. M+ is meant to be a challenge. M+ at 10+ is meant to be some of the hardest content in the game. Seems to be working as intended.

That’s a little hard when she MC’s you and pops all your defensives and uses your interrupt on the healer.

Pop defensives ahead of time to deny. You don’t (shouldn’t) need them on witches.

Most of the challenge in that fight honestly comes from people not moving during the stacking aura. Healers should be reserving their big CDs for that, and their smaller ones for bramble lady to keep grievous off (affix or the ones she tries to apply herself).

My argument is grievous is by far the most punishing affix. Blizzard seems to agree with me, they have adjusted it twice.

That was actually the easiest part.

Yeah it SHOULD be the easiest part :stuck_out_tongue:

Ha ha… just announced:

The Mythic Keystone affix Grievous Wound now has a maximum of 4 stacks (was 5).

Right after Grievous week is over. Good show. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s not really a nerf. Wowhead did the math. It’s almost a buff.

Well aware. But that guy said to use your defensives and Interupts to help the healer :stuck_out_tongue:

Grievous was already nerfed earlier this month.
