I take it this request comes from the perspective of a spectator, not a participant?
One huge thing is that it allows them to have EU players play with them on USA servers without having to deal with lag. Making the pool of players they can recruit bigger.
Lol it’s not Sunday. Need to wait till tomorrow to claim pay to win so you can cope for lack of success.
It’s been Sunday every day here for years.
You’re insulting me? That’s wild
Making an observation.
People tend to hide on low level Alts when they are awful at the game. And as I used to be on Dalaran I know the average player on that server is below average.
I ain’t hiding, I just didn’t change character.
IF they could play as well as they do for the first 3 hours, for those 16 hours, every day. Maybe.
But they don’t, people get tired, they get complacent, not to mention the fact they often have to come up with the strategy, the healing cd plans, the timings, the movment, everything themselves and routinely have to analyse their gameplay as they’re going. World first players might be a bit better than XYZ top 200 guild player at hour 2, but the real difference is that the world first player is typically going to be a LOT better at hour 10.
You raid at a CE level, I’m sure you’re aware of just how much progress / understanding you as a guild gain between raid days from looking at what you did during the previous night.
3x 4 hour nights a week is time of a significantly higher quality than a single day of 16.
Is hard to stay “lock in” for 4 hours, let alone 16. I think we all had the experience where the first couple of pulls for the night are the best ones and then people start dying to silly mistake, until they suddenly lock in for the last pull of the night.
Indeed, we raid 3x3 Thurs, Sun, Tues. (EU reset is Wed)
We used to raid 3x3 Wed, Sun, Tues, but we changed it because it let us take that 1 extra day to see what other guilds are doing, and it meant every raid was separated by a day so there was time for someone to look at what we were doing in the day between and work out what improvements to make before the next raid started.
Why does Mythic being tuned to take months improve the game, though? Many mythic guilds take several months to clear Mythic anyway, and the tuning does nothing for most players because most players don’t run current Mythic raids.
Yeah that tracks.
The last tier the issue wasnt tuning, but design. Doing Tindral and Fryaak seeds pre nerf was just another level of difficulty, those bosses are just not the same after the nerfs.
Not that I have an issue with them nerfing them, but people think what make bosses hard are the numbers(healing/dps) when those are really not a problem at all for most CE guilds.
Lol it won’t even matter unless you’re a cutting edge player.
By the time the majority of the playerbase is ready to raid, it’ll be doable.
Also, Mythic Raiding is the hardest content in WoW (aside from PvP and M+ anyway)- it is supposed to be difficult.
It is great publicity for the game.
Uh huh. Suuuuuure
I despise how this is even a thing.
The fact Blizzard overtunes Mythic and then drastically nerfs it 2-3 weeks later is one of the most obnoxious things they do. Heck, almost every raid has game breaking issues with tuning at LFR, Normal and Heroic difficulties at first since they couldn’t be assed to care about anything other than the race to world first.
Does anyone actually believe this? That watching other people do something they’ll never do entices people to play when they otherwise wouldn’t?
almost every raid has game breaking issues with tuning at LFR, Normal and Heroic difficulties at first since
No they don’t. Good guilds clear heroic first week.
With this current model, what is even the point of mythic raiding early in the patch? Why not just start a few months before the patch ends, after raiders gear to full myth gear using m+ and nerfs are applied?
It is not people and their special IQ, DNA or anything that made it happen, it is MONEY
