Use of certain abilities while holding flag need to be looked at.
Pallys can’t bubble but shammy can burrow? MW can port? Plz add more restrictions. I feel like every game at 2400 (FC map) is decided by healer comp. This gamemode is amazing but needs additional tuning.
Plz also fix icewall bug where U Can cap while in the wall. Hotfix? Ty
They could also remove idk…lets say 7? (to not be too harsh on them) grips from dks. I would say it will be fair they would still have 18 grips left.
Because watching a mw monk taking a flag, with what seems to be an infinite number of movement and displacement buttons, to then try to run from 2-3 dk grippibg him over and over …does realy look like some old Charlie Chaplin’s sketch…the ping pong is real.
I say leave it alone. I run flags when I’m on my evoker and I don’t when I’m on my mage. That’s just the way the cookie crumbles and I’ve never once thought, “wow I really wish they would redesign this entire game mode so my mage can be an equal flag carrier.”
There was time when mages were actually great FCs. But Blizz made new classes with fun new abilities without considering the impact it would have on PVP, making them the optimal FCs.
as someone who is decently high rated in bgb and was the highest ele sham week 1 i think leave it alone. Pallys shouldnt bubble with it cause they become immune to dmg, shamans can still die to dots while burrowed and monks can have a rogue waiting for them at their port location and insta die lol just learn better strats.
After 10 stacks alot of the movement abilities dont work, so…it gets nerfed anyway?
I kind of just wish they would take CTF maps out of the rotation. I’ve got pretty decent at FCing, but it’s not very engaging gameplay to go grab a flag and run it back across the map for an entire game. I would vote to nerf MW and Evoker’s mobility while carrying a flag, but that would just mean I would have to rely on someone else to carry–which statistically will turn out worse for me than me just doing it myself.
Would much rather they focus more on maps like Gilneas, Silvershard, Temple, and Deephaul (maybe create a few more). Small, fast maps with a lot of team fighting seems to be the most enjoyable for me (and most likely the types of maps where the typical ‘road fighting’ BG player would find themselves coming the closest to playing the objective correctly). Blitz is such a nice addition to the game, would love to see Blizzard polish it up some so it can grow and become what I think it could be.
Totally agree with this. Would also like it if they auto-finished a game when it’s 2-0 and there’s not enough time left for the other team to cap 2 flags (this would be more predictable with nerfed movement for all classes while holding the flag, at all times).
I particularly dislike Temple too, but mainly because it’s often one big team fight in the middle, and because it’s especially hard in BGB to coordinate a push together into the middle after the opposing team takes it. Wish they changed map design & mechanics to split the fight somehow.
Rogue shadowstep needs a target.
Mage alter has a 10s window.
Disengage, Charge, Intervene and Wild Charge do not really belong in that list, as they can be nullified with a stun or root, since they are not instant movement spells. I’d put heroic leap and demon leap here over those, as they are targeted movement, but even so, not teleports.
You (and most people I guess) forgot about the other mage port, Displacement, which is much easier to set up IMO.
Once upon a time you could, but it got removed for the same reason that its an issue with MW. Idk if it even survived all of wotlk
and obvious example would be that you can drop down from the flag room ledge in wsg, grab flag, and port right back up deep into that hallway. MW can even roll off the ledge right into the flag cubby so theres no chance of stopping it.
definitely uniquely busted, and considering some of the stuff that you cant do with the flag… this seems egregious
